I’m new to gardening and I just started my first vegetable garden a few months ago (I had only ever grown herbs before this). It was time to harvest my Spinach and I had no idea how to do that, so thank you for a video explaining how, that was quick and to the point!

Thank you. I’m so happy for you that you’ve discovered gardening, and congratulations on your first successful spinach crop! I love this method of harvesting spinach and use it for lettuce too. It’s the best way to get tender leaves and avoid bitterness. Since spinach likes cool weather, it will keep growing back until it starts to get too hot for it. Enjoy!
Simple and to the point, great audio quality, and much needed info = new subscriber 😊

Beautiful harvest, Valerie. I can't wait for fall so I can plant more spinach. It's easily one of my top 5 favorite crops to grow and so good for you.

Thanks, Adrian. I always look forward to a fall planting too, especially this year since something ate my first round of spinach overnight and my second batch will probably bolt due to the unseasonal heat we're having. Have you ever tried malabar spinach? My dad who lives in Alabama just got some to try this year since it's heat tolerance. I can't find it over here, but I'd love to know if it's worth seeking out.
Thanks, that was exactly what i wanted to know

Very helpful. I got some seeds and 3 young seedlings which all grew after sowing. But I was wondering how to proceed on harvest and also to get it keep growing. This video is quite helpful and I now am sure of the exact way to proceed.Thanks

Glad it was helpful. It will eventually get too hot in most places and the spinach will start to flower. You can try growing it on a cooler side of your house at that point or plant heat-resistant varieties. I don’t remember if I spoke about that in this video, but I think I have another video on spinach bolting, saving seeds for your next crop, etc. Good luck with your growing and harvests!
Very helpful thanks!

How do you stop it from going to seed?
Hi! This video is very helpful. I wonder is this kind of spinach suitable to plant in tropical weather country?

The variety is Noble Giant Spinach and I believe it is only considered hardy up to a Zone 10. If you'd like to see my growing experience, here's a video I did about the ideal temps for it and what conditions drive it to bolt 💚 kzread.info/dash/bejne/lm180sVyca6rYMo.html
Oh, if can do it like yours !!! Which distance between each plant ?
@NowGardening

I’m not super precise about it, but I try to sow spinach seeds about 4cm or 2inches apart since I harvest the baby spinach leaves instead of leaving the plant to grow to full size. I hope this helps!
