Naomi is so cute! I love involving my 13 yo daughter in my cooking. Yep, it often takes longer, but "teachable moments" like this are essential for our kiddos future!

Absolutely, its best to teach them right from very young and make them into skilled, independent individuals ready to take over when we retire.
*Probably one of the many reasons why you are so trust among us preppers is because you have never tried to push cheapy inferior products on us. Only the best products, knowledge & intel from you. Thank you deeply for all you do & truly tell each family member that I say "Thank you for your sacrifice in allowing Nate to do what he does for complete strangers."* *Liberty = Peace & I pray that you & your loved ones always enjoy both!*
"Why am I only in one video?" LOL Watch out Dad, she's going to take over the show and be a star!!! This was a great video, brightened my day for sure!!
Your daughter is a gem♥️. I totally lost it when you were talking costs and she asked how much the FD was. One of your best videos yet!
Great to see getting the family into the action. A family that preps together, survives together ❤️
Nate!! This is such a positive video with Naomi in contrast to the ones you've making recently. Loved it so much! You're such a great dad!
Love the incorporation of your daughter and would love to win that harvest freeze dryer
Nate your daughter's absolutely adorable she stole the show I've never laughed so hard I can't wait to get my freeze dryer should be getting it in the next few months I'm so excited thank you Nate for the video it was awesome God bless
I have been freeze drying breakfast skillets using eggs from my chickens, potatoes and onions from my garden and ground sausage from the store. Almost free, and I produce 80 percent of the ingredients myself! Great video Nate!
That was awesome to see your daughter getting in to it. I remember watching an episode of I think it was Yukon Vet. Her husband was showing their three daughters how to do something outside and the one daughter said that their dad was teaching them how not to be useless. Something that I try to instill into my two daughters.
I love these prepping how to videos. I’ve been following your channel for many years and your down to earth approach, how-to videos, and gear comparisons/excursions are some of the best. Thanks for doing what you do
OMG, Nate, she is precious. I child who admits to not liking very many foods and she's willing to tell you all about it! Then she imitates your gestures. A-dor-able! I have wanted a Harvest Right for some time, but it just does not fit in my budget. And, truly I don't really NEED it. Thank you for this video!
Honestly though.. if you don’t have a freeze dryer, dehydrating bananas is the cheapest, most accessible prepping thing for anyone to start doing. The resulting product is a sweet, nutritious snack and has a satisfying chewy texture!

That's true, bananas are fairly nutritious and they're gonna be impossible to get if supply lines are cut.
Naomi is precious! She loves her daddy. I’m 55 yrs old and still a daddy’s girl 😊 My father is a wonderful man, kind, caring, loving. He has taught me so much. I truly believe the sweet pure love of a good father makes for a strong confident Levelheaded daughter. 🥰👍🏼
I love my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. I’ve had mine for about 10 months now.
Awesome video! Naomi did a great job. She clearly loves helping and learning from Dad!
So nice to get a quick glimpse of you and your family. I have had my HR since March and I love it. Still putting the peddle to the metal on individual foods, but I'm about ready to start making meals. For anyone who is wondering, it is so worth the investment. You can freeze dry leftovers, extra veggies from the garden. You will recoup your cost just on waste prevention alone pretty quick. Thanks CP, more videos like this please.
I wish a freeze drier was in my budget. Oh well, I guess I'll have to stick with more old fashioned ways of preserving food. 😁

We can the old way. Pressure can our meats. And can our veggies. Nothing wrong with the old way. Keep it up. Someday we would like a freeze drier as well. But for now we use what works.

I've watched most preppers and I've got to say canadian prepper is by far the best for information in all aspects . It's nice to see a prepper home in on preparing food for storage, growing food for stability and also homing in on real life problems that we will face in the near future. Keep up the good work man seriously because we need level heads giving information at critical times👏💚
Love the little helper, working together, made me smile.
Precious moments with your child, She is very precious, I love these teaching moments that we, as family can spend with our kids and grandchildren. I especially enjoyed, her last comment, how come I'm only in one video? LOL. I have been following your videos and have purchased a Freeze dryer this year. The feeling of being prepared is so much better than the feeling of being unprepared. Thank you for your many insights, and suggestions for preparedness. Keep up the good work, Nate.
So nice to see Tamra - the friendly and always helpful voice I’ve spoken to on the phone. :) Great job Naomi! You did an awesome job working with your Dad!
What a great helper and your such a great teacher! You all are an amazing team!😊
Glad to see you getting your family involved. Really shows a family side of prepping that most people don't see.
Its nice to see you involving the family and staff, it adds something that we don't normally get to see in your videos.
Nate, I am so glad to see a video that will actually help preppers instead of all the drama that has been the focus of your channel for quite awhile. I really miss all your prepping videos.
This video was so much fun with your great improvised helper!!! Congratulations!
What a doll, thank you for helping us Naomi learn what your dad is making
Great video... Lots of information. Thanks !! One tip on the oxygen absorbers.. (Most seasoned preppers probably know this... ) The oxygen absorbers start to work the SECOND you open the package! So you don't want the package open any longer than possible, or else by the time you get half way thru the pack, they will be "dead" and won't work anymore. ( I learned this from experience...) I put all my dried food in the mylar bags, have them all lined up and open. THEN I open my package of oxy absorbers, quickly drop 1 in each bag, then seal my oxygen absorber package up again. If you're using ziploc mylar bags, you can quickly zip them shut, THEN go back and heat seal each bag, for maximum shelf life. (Some times the ziploc seal leaks a little.)
Thanks for you and your helper educating me on the freeze drying process
Heck yeah thank you for sharing it's good to teach your young ones too I teach my grandkids although they're still kind of young but they're learning always be prepared
Got my freeze dryer 2 months ago and it’s been going non stop, thanks for the video
I just my freeze dryer yesterday after 8 weeks of waiting. I am excited to finally have this as part of my arsenal.
I LOVE my Harvest Right freeze-dryer!! I was using a regular dehydrator, and it’s great for some items, but more like raisins and jerky. The freeze dryer preserves the shape and texture, and I love that it comes with the bags and oxygen absorber packs, AND the heat sealer!! I like that you can eat the freeze dried foods without adding water if you want, also. Awesome!!
She’s adorable! Good job teaching her all the ways to be self reliant dad!
!! Naomis, complete honesty sold me, 5 out 9 any-day !! Thank You !!
That’s adorable that you put your daughter in the videos. I’m surprised it’s taken so long. You seem like a great dad
Please do more of these videos. Positive and light-hearted. Informative and educational. I understand the importance of staying updated on the negative current events but it’s good to have a break from the demoralizing reality once in a while.
Nice to see your little helper included in video. ❤
She'll have her own prepper Channel in the next 10 years 100%, great Video, I learnt alot!!
Ahh, buddy she’s wonderful! Tell her she is a natural born youtuber and the best assistant in the WORLD! Thats why I started prepping..future didnt matter as much until I was blessed with a daughter to protect!
Seeing you as a dad is awesome ... great video.

Adorable! Loved the interaction!
I have really enjoyed seeing the workers from CP The unseen force moving the background for the forefront.
A new star is born, good job Naomi!! I loved how she just dumped the cup into the bag, and I was thinking it's gonna go all over the place lol! Informative video Nate, excellent planning for this one!
Mines been great, and great customer service and product support from harvest right.

Father of the Apocalypse!! I wish! Ive been saving food for past year, reloading, ecoflow, solar.. Im in lil apartment. Doing my best. Thank you
Naomi will be a star. Great recipe. Good work Tamara. Nate, make sure you get a bucket under that drain, you will get a couple of quarts of water on the floor. And empty the bucket before next time-- or the water gets sucked into the machine if the tube is in the water. If buying a machine, Nate's is old like mine. The new software tries to optimize the freezing and drying times. It is easier. I don't mind my old one....I can overdry.
Good timing on this video! I’ll be calling and talking to you about buying one very soon! Peace to you and your precious family.
great to see how the end result is with this system. You are a very blessed man---your daughter is adorable!
Another product 95% of people can't afford to buy, but a good freeze dryer tutorial overall.

Maybe if a group of like-minded neighbors got together, you could share the cost of the dryer.
Good video Nate. I think your daughter brings a real family touch to the video and shows what we're protecting when we prep. I think future involvement will. Be good for the channel too.
Your able assistant kind of stole the show ! Fun fun. The freeze dried food came out hot ! Surprise surprise too me. Thanks.

Your daughter is a great helper. 👍 I love that you include her in the process. I 💯 LOVE my HRFD. It's a great storage plan and I have forgotten how hard canning is lol!
Your daughter so precious many blessings to you and your family.. this is down right after all these years my most favorite video of all time s
Yep a freeze-drier is one of the first things that I have to get once I've bought a block of land in either Victoria, NSW or Tasmania! The daughter is cute and obviously loves to help you Nate. Have a ripper mate!
You’re really smart. The comparison of the energy usage upfront for freeze drying vs a freezer long term was great.
You shouldn’t put more than 2 1/2 lbs of food on each tray, otherwise it will prolong the processing time. Also, the fat should be rinsed out of the pork before freeze drying so it doesn’t go rancid. Also, if you pre-freeze your food, it won’t take as long on the freeze mode.
Thank you Naomi. You did a great job!
Naomi is the cutest little prepper ever!! I have a Harvest Right waiting to be shipped. Trying to get moved into the new house and it's taking forever!! I can't wait to use it and let me say I LOVE eggs!
Love my freeze dryer. We freeze dry all out garden veggies as well as various meats. Great investment for prepping
Love the channel bro been watching for a while glad your teaching the lil one these things
Loved it when Naomi said why am I only in one video?!!! She is so adorable & a great helper! Give Tamara a thumbs up too!
You had a very good helper today. And you are correct, if a child will eat it and say it's pretty good, then as an adult, we know it will taste good. Be sure to tell your little assistant that she was a wonderful helper on this video.
Love the change up with the little helper. 😀
I've been running my freeze dryer continuous. My goal is two years of good eating if it hits the fan. Otherwise,,,my camper is well stocked for travels. The freeze dryer is expensive,,,but well worth the investment.
high five to Naomi for being a great hostess :) and for a fussy eater a 5/9 seems like a pretty good score lol
Your assistant did a wonderful job 😊 so sweet. Great video!
Such a helpful video! I’ve been waiting to see the start to finish freeze dried process and your daughter is SO adorable; I love at the end when she says “why am I only in one video?”💕💕💕
Children..... the best and most honest critics ever. Great video Nate and Naomie.
I have a Harvest Right freeze dryer. I freeze dry apricot halves and they come out awesome. When you freeze dry fruit it intensifies the flavor. The only catch with fruit is the skin either has to be peeled off or the fruit cut in half and skins facing down.
The kid is adorable also remember seeing the wife before a long time ago. Seeing family is nice especially as starting to prep and have children.
Love this video! ❤ The food looks great and the process of preparing it is amazing👍 Your helper is adorable and hope to see her in more videos!! Many blessings and I always look forward to watching your videos 🙏🏼🇨🇦❤🇺🇸
LOL, more of your kiddos! Precious. As a mamma of 3, I get how distracting it is to get work done with the younger kiddos around. But, when watching someone else's kiddos take the stage, it's perfect!
My fd finally comes Tuesday at long last 24 weeks..really looking forward to useing it. Mind you weeks prepping the foods ready to go has saved time
Great demonstration.
Awe she’s so sweet 🥰 thanks for sharing
A good tip for the freeze dryer, to use to vacuum out then seal the Mylar bags . You need to remove the trays cube first and reverse the pressure
yes, more videos of freeze dryer. I want one, but haven't pulled the trigger just yet
i have been watching so many videos on freeze drying and wish I could afford one after 2 yrs of on again off again employment ( or should i say unemployment.) Storing, pressure canning and dehydrating everything we possibly can. We are seniors in northern Ontario and would really love to win this lovely machine. Things and times are tough; love your channel
You get a like for your helper, best part of your videos by far.
Well FINALLY the production quality of the video is on point!!! Lol. The small human just made the video AWSOME!!! Lol. That’s so cool dude for you to have your little girl in the video truly helping out. She asked the tough questions and brought out the interesting aspects of freeze drying. Lol. Excellent! Lol. “And how much does that machine cost and why am I in ONLY one video!” Lol. Dude I was rolling! Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work. Fight the good fight. 👊🏾🤣🤣🤣
Love this video! She's adorable and smart. She's going to keep you on your toes. I have a dehydrator but not a freeze drier, just out of my price range. Great info though.
Finally a video worth watching. The kiddo is awesome 😎.
That would be really nice to have these days. Wish it was more affordable. Thank you for the video.
Love to watch a strong man raise a confident daughter. Kudos, sir.
I use a wood moisture meter to make sure the batch is done. Love my freeze dryer!
Your daughter was great! Notice she watched you taste it first, smart girl. It was good to see the freeze drying procedure.
Favorite expert so far!
Yes, do an in-depth on freezedrying
Informative video, I didn't now much about freeze drying. New to prepping, a lot to learn.
Absolutely fantastic video CP!!
