That energized me!!! The main advantage which I looked into Harvard case study method is giving the courage to people to take a stand and pursue it.

    (1) Finally some environment where, at least, from the observations taken from this video are appealing. It just moves away from the traditional methods of teaching. I'm fond of this idea of case study. I love these talks. But you know? When we were all younger, say in grade 4 - 6, they tell you not to talk. That's the issue here. When kids talk intellectually, people should not stop them, because that is when they learn the things that are not just basic mathematics, grammar, etc...

True. I've seen so many online lectures and they are in NO way utterly amazing (except a few) so teaching isn't the main difference. What IS however is the peer group that you study with. So in HBS I'd be talking to people who are the cream of the crop, so their ideas are going to be more refined than some group in some 3rd Tier Uni, where the admission criteria wasnt that high. Also,my classmates wld go on to be hired by big companies & that would give me an edge, since I'd know them.

Exactly, that's the main difference. But we must also take in account that Harvard professors are the best in the word probably, so even if the lectures aren't that amazing they are probably still better. Also, a better professor will also give you better feedback. I think that there is a bid difference between this renowned professors and normal ones. Even if the lectures are similars, the debates with such professors make up the difference, in my opinion. Sorry for my english, I'm european.

I would like to know more about Harvard teaching methods. What I don't understand is why classes have so many students -not this class, but normal lectres-. I mean, in my country, the less students the better because they get more attention from the professor and, therefore learn better, Also smaller classes lead to better debates. You can't debate in a class with 150 students. How does Harvard manage this issues? Thanks in advance for the answer.

not just Harvard educates in such a way, but less prestigious universities across the world does the same, In India small colleges does it of-course not same, but similar, I'm an MBA student in U.K @ a decent university, where they teach exactly same as u saw in this video, I think V should think much 4r investing on our education, for Harvard, if u go with edu-loan, then u gona turn up as an employee, as most.u will be a programmed machine all ur life

You cannot even formulate proper English. Good luck with that MBA from your "descent university" in the UK. Harvard is in another league from most other universities because of a multitude of factors. The quality of faculty, students, and reputation is unparalleled to your average uni. I don't go to HBS but I do go to HLS. So I am speaking from experience.

Business is not something that can be thaught, you ought to do it and have new ideas. All of what they say is logic, nothing to learn from that. Doing the things that the teacher prohibits in this video is retarded u don't need a book or whatsoever to know that. Business is all about doing it and not learning. Thats why all those business education is just for people who do not want to do actual working but are fond of hipster names and brands etc etc
