I didn't even know this game existed. It almost makes Sonic Free Riders look good. Also I love that the Hells Kitchen Season 6 premiere voice clip got used.

I did. It looks awesome and I'm glad they're finally doing Sylux as the villain aftet all the buildup.

Man even the infamous Harry Potter mobile game seemed to have more than one key to jingle as far as referencing the story. That's embarrassing, on both WB and Microsoft, but mostly WB. A dark satire on HP but with drugs would be like Breaking Bad but with wizards and witches dealing sketchy potions at Totally Not Hogwarts But It's College or someshit. I feel like mixing the genres of Crime and Fantasy would be pretty unique imho.

Fant4stic I think is a little played out, but the Fantastic Beasts movies might work because they stick out to me as being the worst of modern franchise movie-making (past the first movie that I remember at least being tolerable, anyway). Its handling of Ezra Miller's character alone baffles me. Dies in the first movie, is revealed to still be alive and has an entire second movie about how they're the most important person ever... dies again having accomplished nothing in the third movie.

@@Darklordjadow1 Sounds fair so yes to Fantastic Beasts. And I think a lot of the problem had to do with the fact that Rowling should never have written the script for the first 2 solo or even at all. Story credit? Sure, but while the first movie was ok both it and the second one should've had a professional screenwriter do it. They literally feel like first drafts of books put on screen. They tried to fix it with the third movie by having Steven Kloves, the writer of most of the Harry Potter movies sans Film 5 co-write it, but the damage was done. And the Jacob/Queenie subplot in the 2 sequels was poorly handled. Queenie sides with Grindelwald for very flimsy reasons (outside of the earlier "Muggles and Witches can't marry" thing which is kinda BS but given the timeline compared to the main HP series, I can at least buy that), spends 90% of the third film babysitting Creedence for very little-given reason, has her conflict with Jacob resolved in a really rushed way in the third act, and the two get a happy ending. It felt like they wanted to draw it out more but weren't sure if those remaining other 2 movies they planned on were gonna happen. And they didn't, thank god.

I don't know what the flash scenes are, but I'm interested to find out

I saw them going around Twitter. Some AI supporter was touting them as a demonstration of a new AI system that can render new clips right where another leaves off. Except on top of all the other problems: you can blatantly tell where one clip begins and one ends because the Flash's costume completely changes with each transition. AI techbros were eating it up; everyone else was laughing at it.

I wasn't a fan of Harry Potter back in the day. People would call me "Harry Potter" all the time in school and it got to the point of being bullied. That's why I never read the books, and never played the games. Considering how this looks, I think I might have dodged a real mess.

I haven't read them myself, but my sister read them all and said they were pretty good, and she has fairly good taste. Of course it was just the latest in a long line of British "Child goes to Magic School" books so it wasn't as original as it was marketed as. A good example is "The Worst Witch" series of books, which I did read a couple of and they were decent children's fare. ("Worst" as she was bad at studying)

The books are solid, and while the movies have their problems, they still hold up and I think the film adaptations of Books 5 and 7 fixed a lot of the problems with said books.

Wow...give EA's run with the franchise some credit. Even when they stumbled hard with the Deathly Hallows games, at least those games tried to be ambitious...with some really botched execution because of a brutal deadline, but still. And at least they didn't skip the entire story! Also, if I could nitpick...it looks like EA had nothing to do with Harry Potter on Kinect, it was solely WB Games. And yeah, Eurocom made the Goldeneye remake...but by that point, the 007 games were being published by Activision. But you are still correct about Eurocom being one of the most acclaimed devs of EA's time with the license, they were behind NightFire and the N64 port of The World is Not Enough, easily some of the best 007 games.

Eurocom was a very, very mixed developer. They've made some good stuff, but also a lot of crap like this.

The Batman is really good. It finally puts Batman into a detective story and it does a good job of having other Batman villains exist to make the world feel bigger and lived-in. I still think The Dark Knight is better since it's more of a full package while The Batman is a noir detective thriller with little action, and there are a few plot points I waffle back and forth on.

Yes, I picked up Steel Battalion Heavy Armor. I want to do a few non-Kinect games for variety (and I'll announce soon that I'm a little busy the next two weeks) but it's in the pipeline

1) I covered a bootleg system the PAP I where I briefly mentioned a bugged port and a shit homebrew of Harry Potter games and the Rowling baggage still came up. Might as well get ahead of it. 2) I know the saying is "poor man's version." I say "homeless man's version" to convey that it's even below the level of poor man's version.

To be fair, there are plenty of decent-to-good Harry Potter games even ignoring Lego or Hogwarts Legacy. Sorcerer's Stone through Prisoner of Azkaban were decent light Zelda clones. Goblet of Fire was a bland scrolling shooter. Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince were fun open-world games (as long as you don't play the Wii versions). Of course, you know how terrible the Deathly Hallows games were, Jadow. Even the Quidditch World Cup game on GameCube was a bonkers little sports game I want to feature on my gaming channel at some point just because of how weird it is!

I really liked the Chamber of Secrets game; Quidditch World Cup is fine and definitely strange but I never finished a playthrough on Easy just because it goes on so long.

I friccin loved the first 3 PC games, really solid platformers, albeit a tad easy. Two fun stories with them: my older sister was the one who actually owned the first game, and I, being a very young lad, accidentally completed her save file on 100%, and that's why she doesn't really like videogames now. Poor sis. Another one being how a person that I greatly respect and from whom I got quite a bit of knowledge for my job was a developer on those games. It was pretty surprising.

I thought I commented on this video 0-0 So ya this is a CREPPY af game and considering theres a horror game on Kinect thats something.

All of the dueling scenes look so weird: The character looks so lifeless except for their arm. At least the Deathly Hallows games were decent (if repetitive) third-person shooter games. And didn't use Xbox's broken response to the Nintendo Wii's motion controls.
