I've heard the girl isn't meant to be the mc and is just a stand in for the trailers and isn't canon to the story but I still would've preferred they just keep any kind of potential mc out of the ads as everyone's mc is going to be different or at least added a male counterpart too.

I never even thought of her as an mc I just thought she was just another random student at hogwarts and had nothing to do with the mc or their adventures. They can't really make a trailer about the mc because like you said everyone's mc is different. I actually thought maybe we were going to get to meet her sometime in game and she'd be a friend or romance option but I guess she's not canon because she doesn't appear in the game at all. Oh well...

@Double D. You know now that I think about it you might be right. I don't think they ever confirmed who she was or if she was in the game so for all we know she's just a random character made up for the ads themselves and not for the actual game. Makes sense and I think you're right she's not canon far as I know I'm in year 7 and have never seen her either so... 🤷

The character they feature is always a girl. It would be good to change a little and put a boy because there it just suggests that the real hero of the story is a girl. The game is supposed to favor one as much as the other. Not to mention the romantic quests where even if you play a male character, the gestures and the way of being of the latter is far too feminine for male players to fully identify with and that's a real shame.

Nothing new came up this week.
