I really love Christmas villages. Can't wait to see how this one will turn out! We didn't have a Christmas village growing up exactly, but my mum always made a decent sized gingerbread house (from scratch! I could never!) and she had made these small figures out of clay, and made them clothes, as well as fun little activities for them to do like ice skating and snow ball fights and skiing, etc. And so every first of December she would bake it, place it on top of a mirror, let me and my brother decorate it, and we'd help her decorate the rest of the scene by adding "snow" (aka pillow stuffing) everywhere, leave an empty area exposing the mirror to act as the ice rink, and just have so much fun setting up the different characters around the gingerbread house. I still have the decorations somewhere, so I'll definitely be doing that again one day. Now with the brilliant invention of battery tea lights, I could even light it up from the inside of the house!

Insert a gif of someone falling off of their chair in shock. Because ... a gingerbread house from scratch? Who is your mother and why is she so amazing? Oooo I love how you and your brother were involved, and love the mirror idea! I would LOOOOVE to see it if you put it together again. I'm really hoping to do a gingerbread house (I have ideas) but it might not be until next year ... a bit more planning might be needed. haha! Thank you so much for watching!!

I loved my Christmas village. I added to it each year with things that had connections to me. I'm looking forward to seeing these all set up...and turned on. Plus I can see this village set up all year and you can just change the scenery around it for different holidays and/or seasons.

Leia is so sweet! She made me giggle because this reminded me of how my cats are during many of my meetings. Love the village! I realize I didn't know what Department 56 was, so good first introduction. They're all beautiful but I was swooning over the roof of Hagrid's Hut too! Love your videos and it was perfect for my lunch break! Much love!
