Qurriel told Harry that Snape was doing a counterspell in the first film when Harry thought that it was Snape.

6:30 in the books it's explained Snape was muttering a counter curse trying to counter what Quirrel was doing

Which the movie did a good job of. If you notice the broom starts going really crazy, but then eventually just kind of freezes in place. If snape wasn't doing that counter curse then the broom would still be bucking and probably drop him.

There’s a reason why Harry is living with The Dursleys which is never explained in The Movies

the fact that they do celebrate christmass insted of yule is kinda prof that the purebloods kinda have a point. i can only imagine that they changed it to christmass for the muggleborns. i would be pissed tooide be pissed too if my traditions were being replaced in my home just for someone elses sensibilities

What kinda bothers me about the Qurriel Snape curse scene is that neither of them are using wands. How were either of them doing anything without their wands.

Yeah, this movie is mostly a setup for the next one. I also love Bellatrix but hate her too, the actress is so good. Harry and Hermione weren't hooking up, he was just trying to lift her spirits cause of Ron. 😂 you are so bad, doubling down on the Dumbledore thing....man, I haven't read the comments, but I am almost positive they roast you for it.
