The Dutch have a better attack and they aren't afraid to use it but luck plays a huge part in this sport and maybe they hit the post all day and England gets a fluke goal. Hard to call this one. Edit. Southgate seems to have a horseshoe wrapped in four leaf clovers up his ass.

How could it have been Kane’s worst game, when in the first game against Serbia, he didn’t even touch the ball in the first 45 minutes.

Countries have their way of football, own philosophies and type of play. F.e., Dutch teams don''t like to play against Italian or Portuguese teams. For many years now. English teams always seem to be more open matches, where Dutch type of football finds its way easier. England are favourites, but I think we'll see a good Dutch squad on wednesday!

Holland wants to play England for a long time. Lots of the Dutchies play in the PL. And they know all the players, Van Dijk, Ake, Gakpo and more. England will have to play well if they want to go to the finals. But these boys from Orange are very hungry, and always score. The only team that did not needed penalties to qualify for the next round. Fast players, solid defence..and the knowledge of how England plays.

Kane was so leggy. Practically walking round the pitch. Id have hooked him at half time. Hes getting old now for a player playing so many games the last season. What is he 30 now knocking on 31, 45 domestic games and cup, friendlies and Tournament. Thats a lot of games. A month before the new season and practically in Pre season already its insane the amount of games that players play.

England also have incredible versatility.... but those players barely get on the pitch because of Southgate.

The problem is that players play SO MANY games now over the season, that by the time these tournaments come around, they are spent (see: Mbappe, Griesmann, Kane, etc etc etc....)

Drop Kane and play Bellingham as a false 9. Foden @ 10, Saka up top on right side. Keep Rice and Mainoo in CM Shaw and Trent wingbacks. Back 3 of Guehi, Stones and Walker.

Bellingham is already playing in that position and that's what is affecting Kane as Kane normally plays in that position! Kane hasn't been a 9 for years

Big example, they said Spain has never beaten a host nation in the Euros. Objection judge, relevance is questionable. Commentators should stop mentioning these stats, stat.

Feels like England play with 9, as Kane and Tripps are so limited at present. Could we change those two?

Dutch is favorite to meet Spain in the Final

Kane hasn't been a number 9 for years and always plays deep but Bellingham is playing in that position so basically Bellingham is affecting him and i think he affects the others as well! I guarantee in future players will say hiw Bellingham ruined there system. Its hard to play with someone like Bellingham. Drop him and the players will love it!!

England had a few crosses/passes across the box yesterday but Kane didn't go for them, I think its because all the other games the crosses have been pulled back to the penalty spot area, the problem is Kane should be going for them in the box regardless and leaving any pullback for others. The other issue is numbers getting in the box and them not being all in the same place when they do get in there.

I havent followed club football until QF here but from a neutral (siding with Eng) watching. I think something is off with Kane, after 75 min, he was slowing dramatically

England gets far more criticism than the other 3 semi finalists who have also looked either boring or fragile defensively. Its all 50/50 games from here. Old stats do not matter. England are now a tournament team.

The Dutsch team has to be superfocused , and up and top in the game otherwise England wil send The Orange back home. It's all in subtle things who will win this game. As a Dutchman is see potential but also the fear in the way they play. Sometime you can see two steps ahead were they will play the ball , there is nothing spectacular or surprising. In anyway we wil see who will win Wednesday.⚽🏆

of course you can drop him, Ollie Watkins has performed well against Van Dyke before he'll get England up the pitch, you can always bring Kane on from the bench

If England decide to play with 4 defenders against the Netherlands. They will lose. The wingers and even Dumfries are too fast for this English team.

I think it's selfish. It will no doubt come in his autobiography in 6 or 7 years time - "I was carrying an injury for that tournament but knew that if I was presented a chance, I would take it." Or something like that. He needs to be dropped.

He's had back injuries in the past. And the thing is you can play through them unlike a leg injury. But if it is his back it'll massively affect his ability to play. And he definitely looks like there's something going on

Harry is so wrecked, he’ll start the semifinal but won’t reach 40mins. If he puts in any effort he’ll get injured for sure! The question remains, will he put in any effort.

So if you don't keep a clean sheet, the team has to start playing football..

PS - the knob in the middle gets annoyed too easily...get over it ya whinging pom :)

Kane has been a liability in all 4 games abysmal. Any other centre forward playing like that would have been hooked and binned.

@@original.dwornboy cmon man, I’m a diehard England fan, even if they couldn’t qualify doesn’t mean they lose their DNA, England also failed to qualify for a few tournaments since the 80s, also the Dutch are responsible for the change in dynamics of football from the slow 70s to what we see today, both teams got amazing heritage and it will be a great game.

England hasn’t been successful since 1966. So Southgate maybe the most successful failure since then, not the most successful because he got to 2 semi finals and one final.
