Harry didn’t put the boot in with Charles statement - he was sending a message
Harry was sending a message to Prince Charles when he released a statement saying the King was too busy to meet him during a recent Uk trip, a Royal expert has said.
Speaking on the Sun's show Royal Exclusive, Newsweek's Chief Royal Correspondent Jack Royston said the fact that Harry didn't 'put the boot in' could be a message to the King.

I think this was a deliberate ploy by the King so as not to give legitimacy to the Nigerian tour. With regard to the Invictus Games, I’m afraid Meghan’s clothes and what she wears and does is top priority for the press, not sadly, the Veterans. Can you imagine what would happen if a high-ranking member of the Royal Family turned up? The press would go crazy and the Games would be side-lined even more than it is now.

Harry refused to allow Camilla to be at a meeting between him and his father. He also wanted to appear as if he was carrying a message from the king to Nigeria. King Charles did not want to accept either of these things.

I don’t blame William and Charles keeping their distance. They can’t trust him and as for Invictus it seems that even the veterans are stepping away. Seems as though that Henry wants everything his way and that he should have been able to see his father without anyone but him in the room. After what Henry's said about the King's wife I'd never ever speak without a stenographer there to record everything. Having Earl Spencer there supporting him....why hasn't the Earl been there to support his nephew in everthing else...seems very two faced...
Much has changed since 2014, thanks to the vitriolic book, interviews and series on Netflix. Harry can't have his cake and eat it too. My in laws have been so horrible to me for reasons unknown and now that my mother in law has died (after years of me nursing her and giving up my life) and my health suffering terribly, my husband now has wiped his family (not his children as never the problem) and their toxicity. He will NEVER forgive them. Sometimes, things cannot be undone or repaired. Uncle Spencer should remember that he has 2 nephews and I know which one is more like Diana.
