I used to cut them up many parts maybe 7, now I just take them out whole, I will pull a leg for a return, then the head, the body I’ll save for the last return. That’s 4 returns, if I’m using two chicks I’ll use legs heads then bodies last , that’s 8, occasionally I’ll make a chick in to 5. Hope that helps. Glad you like the videos.

You are correct, I feed most times missing a few, doesn't really matter. What is important is not showing the food all the time, if you run out they will return to empty glove. Weight of the hawk has a lot to do with it, if they are a little heavy they may need tempting if at a good flying Weight then they will return to the glove easily almost with out calling. So empty glove or no visible food, then the hawk is always in hope and not relying on visual. Great question. 👍

also what are the crops that you are walking in?

The crop is Oil seed rape, used for oil, normally a bit shorter this time of year but doing well.
