Hi Pete, Bo seems to be getting better with each video. I reckon he will be a cracking dog in a year or two when he gains more wisdom by trail and error. He seems to have a great work ethic.

Hi. Thanks very much for another great video. As a person new to falconry these are great to watch what an average week of hawking looks like. What do you think happened to the rabbit? Also, I really liked your video about woodys weight loss per hour when he was in the mews. Have you ever looked at how much weight he loses during a hunt (if he doesn’t catch anything)? I’m guessing if you weighed out the chicks you took with you on the hunt to reward him, and then weighed him before and after the hunt you could work it out?

I’m glad you are enjoying them and perhaps getting some insight into hunting. The Rabbit was very strange I wonder if a stoat had it or possibly a fox, although I’m not really sure. This is the sort of thing you see when out hunting, many strange sights on occasions. I will do another video on weight drop when we get some good cold weather, I will weigh each hour and like you say whilst out hunting and compare the results.
