Giving a camera and classes to one person might help that person but creating a program that teaches and can loan out equipment could help many. I’d probably recommend a different training though. It’s extremely difficult making a living off of photography. I do love it though and having a hobby turn into a career might be great.

Financial aid... you are talking college classes.... no asking someone to take on $40k in debt isn't an answer. Getting them into a couple $400 online classes about their specific subject, giving them capitol to get some basic equipment and letting them get out there and start doing it. Many fields don't require college these days (I do have a BA btw) but just need some starting capitol - and at the bottom sometimes $500 is all you need. But when you are working 2 full time jobs just to pay rent saving $500 is an impossible dream.
