Harmonies from Angels (Forestella) Bohemian Rhapsody

Музыка

This is the first video of a series of music from the South Korean quartet called Forestella. In this video, they are singing Freddie Mercury and Queen's iconic classic Bohemian Rhapsody. Of all the versions of this song I have heard, this is one of the best.
In this video, I will introduce you to this phenomenal quartet, and some of the history behind them. And, if you have never heard of Queen or Bohemian Rhapsody (no matter how unlikely), I will give a little background to the song as well.
I want to thank KZreadr Bae Bae Bae Bae for this mix of stage performances by Forestella. I hope that this version will get past the KZread police a little easier. • 포레스텔라(Forestella) - Bo...
I also want to thank the website "KPOP Singers" for their work in gathering information about the members of Forestella and the group as a whole.

Thanks for introducing Forestella to your channel. One correction though: Forestella is performing on a part time basis as a trio whilst Woo Rim is absent. They did a stunning rendition of the appropriate The Show Must Go On and another lovely trio version of Hijo De La Luna. It is interesting to see how they adapted it from their gorgeous quartet version of that song. These members are also performing as soloists, or in Doo Hoon's case, in stage productions. I'm looking forward to more Forestella reactions. Maybe a first time version of the new trio songs. Either way, it'll be great.

Thank you for that information. I have been following other artists while Forestella has been apart. I knew that some were doing singles acts, but I think they are best as a quartet. Life has gotten complicated lately for me, so I have not done anything on my channel for a couple of weeks. I will get back to it when things settle.

@@xploringthailand All the best. I admire you for even attempting this channel, and you're doing well. I just hope you get the opportunity to do more. Re Forestella, I also thought they'd be best as a quartet (how can anything compare to Woo Rim's great contributions?) but the quality remains even as a trio. They know how to sing and make great arrangements.

@@katherineeasteal662 I have no doubt that the trio is wonderful. I fell in love with Forestella the quartet. I am eager for them to do some new stuff when they reform the group.

Thank you for the in-depth analysis It's a very sad and beautiful song, but I think they expressed that sadness well The arrangement is great, too

Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too. Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. Take a listening to Chosen One, an EPIC OST of the Sword of Aramun. Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it. Another original Chagall's Dream brings back the moment of Forestella Festival in my heart, I feel like in my lucid dream seeing Forestella altogether in the future in advance. As the latest, Forestella sang Stuck in a Maze as a quartet. Don't miss it! Now 3 of them are active as trio because their bass Ko WooRim had to enlist for his national duty till 2025 May.

11:48 Personally I am not a homophobia tho, I don't know if you are aware of the homophobic tendency of Korean people, a celeb was fired from TV shows for outing he's gay and he could be back to TV after 10 years. Still he is being blamed, hated for his sexuality. Korean people treat really harsh to a gay in Korea, even to an assumed. If he is not a gay, the gay rumor can threaten his celeb life, if he is and that is revealed it can ruin his life itself. I think you had no intention to harm (not aware that can harm someone), seems this topic doesn't fit so much for a reaction video nor for an introduction of Forestella.

I wonder if that is in the old days and not so much today. Much of their dramas are about two men discovering themselves together, or other gay content. I think it is much more open in recent years. I know it was common in many Asian countries for a gay man to marry a woman, and have a gay partner on the side. This is still very common in China. But, watching various Asian videos, there seems to be much more openness about it.

@@billg7531It's true that the hatred to LGBT became less gross than the past as the people see how the global communities are doing, but I feel like people treat it like LGBT as something invisible or doesn't exist rather hating it.. and when someone reveals it by coming out, people become aggressive in a way harsh like bullying. Still there are people against equality laws in Korea. I feel ashamed that it's not illegal to descriminate here.

@@manaciel As a gay man, I am ashamed as to what has happened to the LGB community, with their activism becoming an embarrassment to all gays and bi people. I truly understand why heterosexuals are furious with the LGB group. The LGB community brings much of this upon themselves, letting all the other letters and numbers of the community take over the causes the LGB group fought hard to acquire. We were getting acceptance from the heterosexual community, and a normalcy was settling in. Now we have the T, Q, + and whatever else they throw into the mix destroying all that was achieved. I am surprised the hetero community doesn't just run rough-shod over these agitators. I for one am very opposed to the hijacking of the gay agenda and successes by the T, Q, +, etc groups.

@@billg7531 Well, I don't think it is proper to discuss such a topic here, under the reaction / introduction video. I'd rather not comment about it anymore. Let's move on the focus to this phenomenal amazing group, their voice and harmony and so on!🤗
