Harley Davidson Night Rod Special First Ride
After riding the new 2023 Revolution Max engine equipped models it left me wondering if the original Revolution water cooled equipped motorcycle the VROD is just as good. Presently Harley doesn't have a full-sized cruiser equipped with a water-cooled engine, but at one time they did and from 2001 until 2017 it was the VROD. Co-developed with Porsche the 120HP+ variant of the VROD that i'm riding today is called the NightRod Special and by the mid 2010's this model was at the pinnacle of technology for the motor company. How does the Night Rod compare to the Sportster S, the PanAmerica or Nightster in performance and ride experience? Let's find out!

Great video with really impressive detail and quality. I know you said you’re a newer rider, so I thought I would mention that your throttle hand position is robbing you of a lot of throttle control and comfort. I understand wanting to cover the front brake, but it was pretty obvious through the video that you were having some issues with smooth throttle inputs as well as being unable to reach wide open throttle. Like I said though, awesome video and very helpful for my search for my next bike. Thanks!

Wow. Thank you for that. You’re right that hand position is my “timid rider” beginner hand position that I apparently use allot, especially when riding an unfamiliar bike and it prevents rev matching and all that. Very useful critique. Thanks for watching and the feedback on the content!
