I just got an fxrs last week. Rode it home 300 miles and it was awesome. Needs carb rebuilt and some love. 9300 miles, on a 1991! Your channel is awesome, keep it up.

Evo was the last true Harley in my opinion, lovely scoot bit shovels are my absolute favorite Harley engine. You got a stable of thoroughbreds there.

FXR is one of the best bikes ever created not just the best Harley. Nerd Fact: Buell used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to design the H-frame of the FXR.

I'm about to add a FXR to my toy box, I have a 90 883/1200 and will be owning a FXR in Dec. Merry Christmas to Me. I was looking for another 90 to match the one I have, because my friend has two 94's with one being a FXR; One ride and I had to own one, it just took a while to find the right one. Sweet bikes, My only issue with my current bike is the 4 speed, I don't care what you have; off the line I will eat your lunch. It get's wound tight at 80, so the FXR will fix that; And still have a hot rod bike, I'm sure long rides are going to be better. Since the bike only has 8,548 miles on it I'm sure it has lots of life left. I will perform a full service, probably go ahead and replace the brake lines on this service, then do the belt and clutch to get rid of the spring plate and install the heavy spring. I'm most likely going to keep it original being as it's a 90 with less than 10K on the clock; I will be the third owner.

I have a 1987 FXLR Lowrider Custom and I love it. Hard to find parts though.

FXR is the best Harley ever made... they quit making them because they cost way to much to make....

I have a 1989 FXRS SP too, love it, superb, got the stiffy's in the rear ohlins shocks, but changed the tank to a twin cap low rider tank, much better looking imho. enjoy it mate. love the fairing, what make is it ??

its a super common fairing that I believe is available from many sources but produced by one manufacturer. You can get them from lowbrow for about 100 bucks or order it off amazon for about 40.

You have a Bute there. FXR is the real deal

having an issue with my fxr...have you ever had puffs of white smoke come out randomly or when you rev it? haven't changed the oil yet but I hope it helps, have any ideas what it could be? I'd hate to sell it.

usually white smoke in the exhaust means oil is getting into the combustion chamber. probably bypassing your piston rings. check your oil level then put some miles on and check again. if you are burning oil at a rate you can afford/live with just top it off every once in a while and ride on. if its burning really fast rebuild the top end, not a big deal.

I bought this fairing off Amazon, it was about $70. I just looked for one with a lot of good reviews, it could not have been easier to install.

Wish I would have kept my fxr...

What brand is that fairing you put on?

Well yeah it's a 30 some year old motorcycle. Comes with the territory. Shovelheads are great motors but you just don't know what you're doing
