Harley Davidson 5 speed transmission gear problem fault selector ratchet caused by broken or damaged weak spring on ratchet shifter pawl means almost impossible to select gears when do pawl test in gear 3 seems ok , all rest like but 1 and 2 virtually impossible to change or shift up and down needs new mechanism and complete tranny cassettte removing to do job primaries off big pain in the ass job !
