Got over 3,000 miles on this big bore in all types of riding conditions. It is freaking fast and a total blast if you can ride it above the 3,500 rpm range. Con: the engine and exhaust will get very hot and you want to be moving above 50 mph to keep it cooled down. Not the way to go if riding in city streets with many red lights or stop -n- go traffic.

Putting it back together I went with adjustable pushrods because, well, it saved a ton of money (I did upgrade the roller bearing though, like you did). My bike's an '09 FXDL and is my only bike so I can't afford to muck it up too much! Been a great bike since I got it. Have to test ride one on the Softail platform soon just to see.

I've been pondering this kit, vs S&S 128, vs a good Stage II build, for my 2018 Heritage 114. I have seen Stage II get up to 130 FP and 120 HP (browse dyno charts on Fuel Moto). I have seen the 128 get up to 147 FP and 124 HP (check Moonshine H-D for a Softail 128 video). And then, we have the 131's advertised 134 FP and 124 HP (something like that, may be a few off with those numbers). On paper, the most expensive option only matches the power of the cheapest option, and loses to the middle-priced option. But what I am wondering is what happens if you take a 131, put on Fat Cat pipes, use a good cam, and Power Vision tune. Best I can tell, nobody knows, because the people buying 131 kits generally want to maintain their factory warranty so far. Guessing in a year or two, we'll have a lot more data, and see the true power of 131, but for now, it's a tough choice. Very interested to see how your build goes. Thanks for posting!
