I'll take this movie over any DC or Marvel film from the past ten years. Every stunt and shootout in this movie is done for real. No green screens. No cgi muzzle flashes. No bs. Everything was done in camera

Agreed, cgi muzzle flashes, blood and explosions totally kill the thrill factor that action movies are supposed to give you. Not sure why it caught on when it gives you an inferior action sequence compared to practical effects.
Man, I know Arnold Vosloo's biggest role is Imhotep, but I love him in this movie.

I prefer him in this movie as I think he's brilliant in this role, obviously had alot of fun and stole the show! Plus he got to hang around with the always brilliant Lance Henriksen
Movies were so much better back then.
arnold vosloo said that JCVD was the least favorite person his ever worked with. He said that JCVD was very disrespectful to him when he introduced himself. Their animosity shown in this movie was real. Great memories...great movie

None of us liked Jean Claude God Damn. Truly dumber than a door knob. Even the stunt guys hated his sorry ass.
The moment Van Damme took the gun, it was just brilliantly chaotic. The trademark slow motion kicks n shooting of the legendary John Woo

Well, bless John Woo for sure; but for those of us that worked on this film; not one of us could stand Jean Claude God Damn. Total asshole.
I realize it now, this movie is a cult classic. If I were to describe this movie in one word, that word would be ''cool''. Entire scene starting Lance with his car is pure badass. That is how you make a great villain.
i do not understand how this film is so underrated...its literally one of the best action movies ever

Dear its blockbuster movie of 90's
The high kick in the face made the audience satisfied in theatre.
Van Damme best movie
All I can say - the mummy guy!!! The 90s - what a time!
I actually liked that hair cut, always wished as a younger me to have it. It was a good action movie, while after early 90s most moved away from pure action, you still get these fantastic ones. Then again, that is up to the director, look at Jean Paul Belmondo early movies, there is a the right kind of combo of everything.

Russell was shell shocked by the end of this film. He never knew how big John Woo wanted it. The producers thought the film could be shot in 58 days without a 2nd Unit. We shot 98 days 1st Unit and 15 days 2nd Unit by Bobby Burton-Legendaru stunt coordinator/2nd Unit director.
I knew JCVD was a good guy in most action 80s and 90s movies, but the villian in no retreat no surrender is just iconic to me.

I think it's karma when the bad guys fire thousands of bullets, but never hit the hero.

Beautiful stunt Vandamme
This was my childhood. I remember every scene from this flick. I also remember Pik (the guy from the Mummy ) cursing "son of a b**ch" at the end of this scene 😂 .. good old times!

Great over the top action scenes that was crafted with more care and passion than many CGI heavy action movie made today. We still get great action movies today but unfortunately without the great production value of this one.

That's... wrong. Fun movie, but none of this was crafted "with care", as in quality. So much of it was made to be over the top fun, but nothing else. If you want quality look to movies like 'Heat' instead.

@@AtotehZ Sure i can look up for more grounded and serious action thriller like Heat, The Fugitive, L.A Confidential and The Way of the Gun. Those movies got far more realistic action and script. What i meant was the use of practical effects, great stuntman work,real bullet squibs ,good cinematography (yes it good for a dumb action flick)and even the lead having to do some fancy moves.

When you watch Black Widow 2021. Natasha and Yelena ran off into a blue SUV. Right when they stole the car it hit into the cars ahead and had scratches on. But seconds later the scratches disappears as they're chased by taskmaster
