Harbor freight Green spray gun

Overall, decant gun for 25 bucks. The main upgrade with this gun compared to the purple gun is the air cap quality. Do I think they will phase out the purple gun? Yes. With the increase in shipping costs and manufacturer cost due to political reasons, there simply not making a good margin on the purple gun. So what do they do? Make a cool looking green gun which costs pretty much the same to make but sell it for 10 bucks more.

I bought this gun a year ago , your correct it must be cleaned first ! And I found when painting anything large like a pickup you can’t use the disposable cup system , it wants a vented top on the cup . I found it would chug when walking it down the bed of a truck . When I put the factory cup back on , no vent cap , it worked stellar ! U-pol clear worked great in the gun , I haven’t used speedcoat brand as of yet . But I’m sure it would work great . Hope you try it with the vented top cup .

This gun loves lacquer paint , aka dupli-color paint I’ve painted a f250 complete job , a vw , a mini truck, yes the green finish came off but it still is rocking the paint ,and yes you are correct you must over reduce the clear , and it doesn’t like the disposable cup system , it flows better with a vented cup . Ten times better than the purple gun . For the price money well spent .

I bought this gun to spray clear coat on a replacement bumper cover. I cleaned the gun before spraying 2 coats of clear then disassembled the gun and cleaned it again. The next morning I sprayed 2 more coats of clear after a little wet sanding. After finishing I again go to clean the gun and after 1 night the inner nozzle piece that screws into the gun body already has rust in it. Sad cause I've had thier smaller detailing gun for months and never had an issue. So the moral of my story is You get what you pay for. Sprayed nice but made cheaply and won't last more than a job or two.

The good: that gun sprays well. But you have to crank the fluid nozzle off to clean it's not even worth it. The bad: the threads for the fluid adjustment knob is a piece of threaded plastic. If you're spraying very little maybe a few times a year go for it.

First off all say this, all clear coats shrink.. ALL of them.. However some shrink more than others. I have a 2 week shrink test comeing out on our Smr135 in the next video towards the end, no cracks minimal shrinkage and remains flexible

Peopke talk mad sh*t about the purple gun and say stupid things like you cant use it to prime with. Let me assure you it's all lies and propaganda. I've owned tge purple gun for over a year and have primed with it 3-5 times a week on a normal week and sometimes up to 10 times. I've put 200 cups of primer through that gun easily. You absolutely have to clean it THOROUGHLY after each cup, but it will spray 2k primer Straight Out of the Box and it does a good job at it. I'm only just now having issues with it which is why I just bought its green cousin. I actually used the purple gun and cleaned it so many times that I wore every bit of purple off of it. If the green one only lasts me 20 times as you said I'm gonna be pissed
