I have a new 9000w Predator, had a couple of other open frame type. Each of them, (Dry w/ no oil or fuel),was stood on end and wheels and balance stands were attached easily.

Excellent video! I especially enjoy that you "showed" you viewers all the detail that they needed without rambling on and on just to hear yourself speak. Captions were cool to provide insigt into what you were doing and the closeups were outstanding. That is a good idea to use the cut off oil container as a drain pan. 5 star instructional video and a new subscriber as well!

Good video. Love how you split the oil bottle to use as a drain can. I'll definitely be using that nifty trick.

I bought a Honeywell that was similar and those rubber feet don't hold up too well. I bought some hockey pucks and drilled them out and 5 years later they are still working great.

How much did the hernia surgery add to ovrtall cost?, and the choropractot. Corner cutting the box would have been effective. Stnding the generator on end (box panels protecr the paint) allow quick work on wheels and feet mounting.

my owner's manual recommends the generator should be grounded this is weird. I don't see anybody ground their generators. What is your take on this bro? Thanks

This generator is a 120v/240v unit. That 3,200 watts is divided in half for each 120v receptacle, 1600 to the left one, 1600 to the right one. As far as I know camping trailers and RV's are 120V, with a big 30A plug. Some generators this size have a 120V, 30A plug (and no 240V) to provide enough amperage to start rooftop A/C units, etc. If you are just running two extension cords from each 120V receptacle you can plug a high-load item into each (coffee maker for example). This generator is a similar size, but all the power coming out of one big plug (120V, 30A "RV" plug). www.campingworld.com/champion-3650-watt-portable-generator-49-state-95895.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiMi5k6Gg6QIV6giICR3vlghkEAQYASABEgIPKvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

@@Hubjeep I'm not running an rv or camper. I'm technically trying to run an enclosed trailer with just a few lights, a space heater and a CPAP machine. There isnt going to be a huge load on it, and I already own this generator. Would it be wise for me to ground it? If so, would a grounding rod be required, or can I ground it to the chassis of the trailer?

+Hubjeep Yeah. I just changed the oil on my new generator (not a Pred) and didn't care how it looked after about a 1.3 hour break in. Wasn't real bad but I thought it should look better than it did. The oil changes aren't as bad as people make them out to be. I did the same thing as you except with a gallon milk jug. I also slightly tipped it to help drain the extra out. Real good vid here by the way.
