Brian thats such a good motivation! when i started detailing i started with a craftsman rotary polisher “worst polisher i ever owned” few weeks ago a guy was asking me questions and pretty interested in detailing so i give him the polisher some pads and the 3M 3 stages and he is doing grate so far! I'm 40 years old I've been window tinting for over 20 years and I've always loved detailing however 3 weeks ago I took the jump and started my own buisness full time and left my job. I'm determined to make it work ,I've been looking at this da but things are tight right now . I watch all of your videos and feel like a sponge trying to learn everything I can . Congrats to the winner! Between my Flex 3401 and Griots G15 I’m all stocked up on polishers. Nice to see companies making an effort to make a better machine that can be picked up locally.

Just bought this yesterday and just found this video today. I work at a dealership in the detail department and this thing works great. I use the chemical guys heavy, swirl, and wax buffing pads. And it works better than my dewalt buffer

an ex coworker is doing mobile detailing and I saw his post and he was using it. I asked how he looked it, he said it was good and liked it! I've never tried a orbital buffer so I could judge anyways. I been using rotary for over 20 years and been looking at the Bauer line of tools lately it seems like there just getting better and seems like harbor freight is stepping up there game!

That's cool of you to do! I just bought this unit and I'm excited to correct my wife's paint. Minor swirls and light scratches and some pretty intense water spots. Been watching your videos and feel confident I can make a drastic improvement. Thanks for posting these.

I’ve always loved detailing my vehicles. just recently bought a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO and used this same polisher on it and i was extremely impressed with the quality of the tool. for $100 you can’t beat it!

@@apexdetail85 There's no doubt that you have experience, the techniques that you apply clearly shows that you're well rounded and have studied your craft. Though there's obviously a lot of other detailing posts, once I honed in on you, and Apex detailing, I knew I needn't waste my time watching other detailing posts. Not to stoke your ego, but you have vast knowledge and are a great teacher! I truly appreciate you, Apex detailing and look forward to seeing and hearing more from Apex. I don't consider detailing as my job, it's truly my passion, also my therapy as it frees my mind from taking care of my wife whom suffers from schizophrenia (which makes every day a challenge). I currently only have two polishers, a Griot's garage 6inch random orbital and a Dewalt variable speed (mostly use Dewalt for boats).Had a Meg's mt300 that I purchased used and it literally snapped in half on me? Any advice on what polisher I need to save up for next and what pads would be truly appreciated! Since I'm on a limited budget, used is certainly okay with me. You wouldn't be lost, you'd be like me when I got into detailing, you'd probably buy everything you saw lol. Brian definitely will save you A LOT of money. He wasn't around when detailing became my thing. So I spent, and spent, and spent, and spent. Even on your own you do tend to pick up on things. But, your bank account will hate you lol. I'm 7 years into this and doing it professionally on a small level. I still watch his videos. You nailed it when you said he's the best source of information on YT.

I just want to say thank you for your videos. I am just getting over the fear of trying to polish. I have two jeeps and have always hand washed and waxed but never got that glowing shine. So using your videos to try and find the right buffer/polisher machine to get. Thank you!!

Hi Brian! Thank you for your review! I love Apex Detail and your reviews are very detailed! I just watched your review of the other entry level polisher from Bauer. The specs that are shown really do look identical to the Irontron model from Northern Tool. I don’t own a polisher, have always polished by hand, but would love to start using a polisher and wish I caught this video a year ago to have a chance at picking up a polisher without breaking the bank :) That would’ve been great! I know all of these are considered entry level but they’re all still quite a lot for me right now. Anyhow, thanks again for the detailed reviews… They’ve given me a good idea as to what to look for! Harbor freight is clearly paying attention to trends and adjusting their course. Fantastic content with the tear down & tips on new grease. 20mm isn't typically entry level, but as you said for an enthusiast who uses this 3-4 times a year this might do the trick. I myself would take a step down in throw and up in price for the entry level G9 and be more patient with my correction, but always nice to have local options available as you mentioned.

Thanks for the review, I think I can use this product to learn paint correction and to remove scratches and swirls on both my wife's car and mine. We both have Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk's Elite 2019 models. My wife made the mistake of using a touchless car wash (now a scratch in the clearcoat on hood and fender).
