Harari Meets Kids - Why do humans cry?

Description:
Why do humans cry? Good question… Children’s curiosity never ceases to amaze, and exploring reality through their eyes challenges adults to think harder - even when we don’t have the answers. The ‘Unstoppable Us’ book series is inspired by kids’ quest to understand the rules that arrange and control the world, and their personal role within it. For more on on #Unstoppable Us Vol.1 and Vol.2, visit bit.ly/Get-UnstoppableUs.
Filmed at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, Netherlands, in autumn 2022.

Yes, I think it comes for exactly that reason. A baby bird will screech or "cry" for that exact reason.

doing searches in google it maybe one of the easiests things to do in life but never understimate them neither tell kiddos not to do them. The knowledge, the power, the freedom, the goodness, the opportunities, the happiness they grant to people are inmense. Much more than any of the wisest of the wisest ancient sages could had ever dreamt off in the past. Speaking of sages. I leave you wise one. I don't wannabe worse than a ghost for you nor anyone else no more.

Never just “google it”. So right. However, mentioning something about apes in this interview is wrong Also, you actually like kids and they actually are interested in what you are saying. Innother words, not many people are good with kids. Thats a wonderful positive. There is alot to learn about how animals behave and interact in nature but to see that you have to have places you can go hike and or camp that is miles away from the city and do that as much as you can. Darwin did this and took scientific notes, Scientific method meets wildlife

That I know. Because Nile River separated Africa in twp. humen and chimps were in one part, baboons in the other part. Where we used to live, there was lack of resources. Where baboons lived, abanddance of resources. Then we had to fight to survive, where baboons didn't have to. And fighting stuck with us.

Your hipothesis coming from your ideas in your mind (or histories if you prefer) about crying being an alert sign about something not going well therefore needing to be fixed it's an absolute realistic truth that I'm very glad you share with those kiddos bc being it realistic and true it will make everyone (kiddos included) listening to it to progress. It will make them happy. Just as the hipothesis the interviewer defends about hugging people who are crying to make them feel better. You can be sure both of your hipthesis are true bc real facts avail them two. The real facts that when you were a crying child your sisters made you feel better when they hugged you.

Rewarding her for crying will probably not make her cry less in the future. Like the kids in the supermarket that learned that crying makes their parents buy them sweets.

@@eSKAone- Of course she will not cry less. That's the point. She (and anyone else) must cry whenever needed. If she represses herself or has learned that crying is useless bc the ones surounding her are shitty people who don't give a @@@ about her suffering no more alert signs will be emitted and no one will be aware that something needs to be fixed, no one will fix anything and everything and everyone will remain broken........forever. Bad shit if you ask me. Better she or anyone cries whenever she wants. If she just cries for some lame sweets she will end up being ignored when she will cry bc of some serious subject, no one will pay atention to her and she will suffer.........forever. Serves her right. As always, justice will be done.

I've never seen an ape cry! From the Lord Jesus is the creator of everything by his word perspective-- I sense that when Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden they began to cry. And we have been crying ever since. We fell from our first estate, heaven. Believe in Jesus, is not just a way. The way, the only way, a reward everlasting; he paid for by his very life and death and ressurection-- the joy is everlasting in God's kingdom for all who believe in Jesus!! Are you born again? 1Corinthians Chpt 15..Verses 1-4

Okay first of all humans are not animals. 2nd as humans we feel emotions in our heart which trigger a release and sometimes that release can be in the form of tears. God created mankind different from all the animal kingdom and he made us in his own image not of an animal.
