Why do most robots have bent legs instead of straight ones. I would think that a straight leg would use less power than a bent one.

Already proven the human leg is less efficient in power, more in balance. The rear facing knee balances horizontal bodies, the front facing knee helps vertical bodies stay upright. This robot is top heavy. The legs could have been either way, but forward facing will teach the physics necessary to complete a straight legged bot. I'm disabled, and appreciate the super fine motor skills that keep us upright (think hockey players) without a thought.

It is more for the knowledge expansion. They built every parts themselves. They did't buy each parts from suppliers except chips. isn't it great?
