R I P . To Director Jerry Paris. He directed all of the Episodes. Ron Howard. Took a hand in directing only 1 Episode. What a wonderful 11 Seasons.

I think it was very classy for them to have dedicated this reunion to Jerry Paris -- the long-time director of this show... he had also played Jerry Helper, the next-door neighbour to the Petries on the Dick Van Dyke Show

I didn't come across this show until the 90's when I think it was shown as a repeat in the UK. I didn't realise then that it was made in the 70's.

The late Garry Marshall has said that when people would ask him what happened to "Chuck" he would say he accepted a basketball scholarship at the University of Outer Mongolia

Chuck got written out of the show. They didn't need him because when Henry Winkler started on the show (fonzie) they took it more as him being the big brother sort of thing to Richie. Chuck was only in a couple of episodes in season 2. And Henry Winkler (fonzie) started in Season 2.
