No money
Let's be honest: Barça do not have much financial power in the market.

Laporta does not want big sales
'It is not necessary to make a big sale. We have increased income. We are close to resolving a situation that last year gave us fair play,' Joan Laporta claimed in an interview with the club's Barca One channel in early June.
The Catalan media sources provide different details on the matter, but still confirm the president's words:
"Maybe Laporta doesn’t mind selling one of the team's leaders, but it would have a very negative impact on his rating. Because Joan thinks like a politician, that's why he has no intention to pull off big sales like Frenkie de Jong's or Ronald Araujo's departure, for whom the market is ready to pay huge money".
This idea can also explain his disputes with Xavi regarding transfer deals, which eventually surfaced in the press.
