The only consistent thing about Barcelona is their bad luck with injuries. Since 2018 or so it's the same thing over and over. It doesn't matter if it is with the club or national side. The year Barcelona is able to have some luck with injuries and keep their important players fit, is the year they will compete and potentially bring home all titles.

@mulla2713 A few were. A quick search online would give you the details. According to the article I found, there were at least 40 different injuries in 2018. Some are players with multiple or reoccurring injuries. Messi himself was out. This honestly isn't anything new. Every club has injuries, but I find Barcelona has been plagued.

They need a CDM more than anything. We should’ve had a plan to replace Busquets long before he was gonna retire. Palhinha… Bayern Douglas Luiz.. Juventus Kimmich will be a difficult target. But it’s the best one. Zubimendi the second best option. Amadou Onana?.. Not a lot of top CDMs like Rodri who’s the best in the world. We can’t stop conceding if we have no structure and focal point in the CDM. Gundo/Frenkie CANNOT play CDM. The pivot will not work without on. A striker is not a priority. The priority is a LW. We still haven’t replaced Neymar. Coutinho… Dembele.. Felix… They’ve all failed. Ferran… a sub at best. Not a starter to me. Ansu… let’s hope he has a big preseason because I prefer him over Ferran to keep in the squad. Nico Williams. A must buy. Should be the second signing after finding a CDM.

It's not the medical staff that is the issue. It's players that are injury prone, Araujo is explosive and carries lots of tissue in his lower half, Pedri is frail as well.

Keep Pedri at all costs, but Frenkie and Araujo are very injury prone, haven't accepted a new contract despite negotiations for over a year and are less consistent than Pedri is. And they have the highest market value in our club. And we could replace them with cheaper, more consistent and more fit players who haven't been destroyed by the medical team. Atleti just signed Le Normand for 30M, Leverkusen signed Aleix for 25M. I respect the loyalty to them, but if we can cut Xavi, we should be able to cut these players too.

It’s difficult because replacing them I think will be more complicated. We need a CDM first before looking to buy players. A LW: Nico Gundo, Pedri, Gavi, Fermin is a good midfield depth. But one getting injured makes it difficult. If we were to sell Frenkie we need one who is able to play the holding midfield role. Whatever CDM we get he can’t play every game… so a CM that can play deep is critical.. IF we sell Frenkie. Araujo is our best defender. Yes he’s inconsistent but: Christensen has also been injury prone Inigo I think is leaving Faye and Cubarsi can’t start every match Kounde.. struggles at CB. Aymeric Laporte is a player we should’ve got instead of Inigo. He’s top, he’s been one of Spains best defenders in the euros. Right now… there is no affordable, top CB. I can’t seem to think of one. de Ligt… going to Man Utd Calafiori.. Arsenal Not a lot of available CB. So at the moment… keep them. Negotiations will be difficult. Injuries are obviously a big question.

IMO: Then selling both Frenkie and Araujo would mean being able to bring in someone like Laporte, who is much cheaper than Araujo. I mean without Araujo we'd have Cubarsi, Christensen, Iñigo, Eric and say a new CB like Laporte and/or one of the Spanish U-21s. Then Faye and Koundé as emergency options, Koundé mainly being the RB. As for Frenkie, he is great but Mikel Merino and Kimmich together would make up for his sole market price. Less we forget him being the highest earner in the club which is so bad for FFP. And of course, would have enough for Nico too.

Euros is 100% tactical. The matches are either really good and end to end… or an absolute snooze fest. Players don’t know when to shoot. Everyone plays the same. At least in Copa America it’s more aggressive and unpredictable. Euros have obviously had the best quality matches. How England and France are still in it is… insane. They’ve had the most boring matches the whole euros. England especially my god.
