Folks, I own 4 of these belts in different styles. Best belts I've ever owned. I have a very cool one that is a dress and gun belt. Outstanding. I say buy one and it will last a lifetime.

I own four of these belts and love them. They only make grey in the cheaper line and I was so disappointed with the quality, I sent it back. They need to make a grey in one of their 100 year belts, because these/those belts have no equal. They are awesome!

Thanks and so glad you love the belts. Yes, the grey is in ouir lighter casual line. Many customers just don't want the thick heavy belts but still want a belt that will last. Our Legend, Woodstock, Rustic etc belts are lighter weight for this reason. Maybe we will have a heavy grey some day! Thanks again for commenting.

Just recently purchased one as I've been buying belts at box stores for the last few years and for $20 - $30 each. They hardly last me 6 months and buckles break or the "genuine leather" falls apart and I've gotten so sick of it as I've spent well over $400 in 5 years. I saw one of hanks ads and honestly laughed it off as I do all ads, but then saw it again and after reading over 400 reviews looking for an unhappy customer to not find one I checked out their site and ended up ordering their Montana Bison Belt. Only had it a week so can't speak as well as others can on it lasting but I can say it's true Genuine leather. It isn't 5 layers of polyester glued together with a paint job. I personally feel this will definitely last me 20 years of normal wear as a carpenter long as an unfortunate accident don't happen on a job. Anyways it cost me $100 but that's equal to 3 junk belts that would make it a year and a half so definitely worth every penny. I would say looking forward to doing more business with Hanks but doubt ill need to for a long time coming unless I decide to get a decent wallet when mine finally falls apart. If your tired of buying cheap belts definitely invest in one of these, you will not regret it. Also make sure you get a belt that is 1 if not 2 sizes bigger then your pants size. I read alot of reviews on returns. I personally wear 34 britches so ordered a 38 belt and it left me 3 holes bigger and 2 smaller but doubt ill ever get under 34.

Hanks belts are NOT genuine leather, they use FULL GRAIN leather, which is real, entirety-of-the-grain leather as shown in the video. "Genuine leather" is a bunch of thin junk leather glued together like you described. Calling Hanks belts genuine leather is actually an insult, and a common misconception. Just thought you should know. Congrats on owning the best belts probably ever made.

Thanks for the great comment. Yes, we use full-grain leather and not "genuine leather" Genuine leather can be processed product. full grain is always cut stright from the hide. Thanks again and enjoy your great belt! You bought one of our best.

Well learnt something new, I always just assumed genuine meant something real since I was a kid. So I just assumed all the companies selling leather as genuine were a bunch of lies. Didnt know it was a word to describe junk. Sorry for my miss understanding. But yeah hanks belts are definitely real leather.

@@fredcrouse4620 thanks so much. Yes, Genuine leather is like particleboard. It's made from leather and glue and doesn't last!

I have one of these belts and I live outside the US. Just mind you that it's such an American thing that many of the comments are talking about it holds the gun holster really well. which I can't and I think would never be thought about that. lmao

Thanks for commenting. Yes, some models of our belts work well for Law enforcement officials, security guards, investigators, first responders and anyone else who carries heavy gear or firearms on their belt. This also makes them great for work belts to carry tools and pouches on them also!

May I make a small suggestion? You shoukd add a small drop of blue Loctite on the screw when assembling.

  • @HanksBelts

Thanks for the feedback. Problem is many people change the buckles out and even the blue Loctite can make dissasembly not possible on these small screws. We reccomend checking for tightness and if you are not going to swap put buckles add the Loctite yourself or what we find works beter is a drop or two of cleadr nail polish. Thanks again!

If someone isn’t strong enough to overcome a touch of Loctite, they don’t need to be wearing a Hanks Belt!! Lol!

You can just buy a hole punch and punch a new hole. If you have a leather shop nearby they can also help you out. Thanks!
