Hankook Dynapro AT2 (RF11) Tyre Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hi there,
We review the Hankook Dynapro AT2 (RF11) Tyre
The Hankook Dynapro AT2 (or RF11), is the successor to the much loved and highly-regarded RF10, an all-terrain tyre with a reputation for long life and quietness. In this video, we put their claims of ‘advanced technology’ and ‘superiority in every dimension’ to the test on a variety of NZ terrains.
The RF11 is a bit of an all-rounder, striking the perfect balance between off-road traction and on-road manners. Aside from producing a tyre that out-performs the RF10 overall, Hankook’s research and development team has focussed on the key ‘demand’ areas of AT tyre versatility, making huge improvements to the conventional in terms of Off-road traction, Dry handling, Comfort and Quietness.
Off-road, the RF11’s Multi-way grooves and sipes have been arranged to create better traction in any direction. It comes with an extra biting block edge for beach and mountain grip and locking shoulder lugs that cause the tyre to remain flat and stable, maximising its contact patch.
All-terrain tyres are notorious for tarmac hum, however, thanks to the RF11’s design advances in area’s such as a step block edge, a block-chain control system and an aero shoulder, tests have demonstrated that it produces up to 8% reduction of road noise over the already impressive RF10. Plus the addition of ‘tie bars’ between the shoulder blocks minimises road ‘squirm’ allowing for a more confident ride.
In terms of endurance, once again the RF11 delivers. It features a breakthrough formulation that incorporates highly-dispersible silica into a silica polymer network, the result is enhanced resistance to chip and cut damage in gravel and a 6% increase in mileage over the RF10, a tyre that regularly exceeds over 100,000km of tread life.
With the Dynapro AT2 (RF11) Tyre, it looks like Hankook has once again lifted the bar in all-terrain tyres.

Not a fan of these at all. They came on my truck and have been fairly terrible. 600 miles one already has a puncture and another has a small leak. And this is just from normal day to day street driving. Not to mention the grip on them is meh at best. I am sure there are many people that love this tire but from my experience they are crap when compared to other available AT tires out there.

I'm sorry, but I call BS on this review. Our group where down in the South Island for 3 weeks over Dec/Jan and the only vehicle that lost tyres where running these Hankook Dynapro AT2's. He lost 2 tyres, both with split sidewall. So badly damaged they had to be retired. The other vehicle with AT's where running Yokohama Geolander G015 AT's without any issues over the same terrain. Just my 2c.
