I like the piano in this version. My dad was a Hank Williams fan when I grew up in the early 60's so I got to hear these neat songs. It was only lately that I came to really appreciate the great song writing ability he had and why he is such a legend. I cannot stand the talent mocking buffoonery on the radio today and it has caused me to go back and listen to these old classics with renewed appreciation. Tell you something else--we don't have catchy melodies on the radio today. All they do is spew out notes all over the place and the songs really go nowhere. I just love how he could use 3 simple chords over again but sing amazing melodies over those chords for unique and different songs.Hank is a world class songwriter and performer!

There's only so much serotonin in our nervous systems and when it's all used up, you're long gone into eternal suicidal depression. Worth the cost? The needle is for terminal cases, to help get through final days of pain. You would not want to become immune. If you need any more than a reefer or beer, something's wrong.
First time I heard this song was back in 1971 while watching the movie "The Last Picture Show." That was my intro to Hank Williams. I had not heard of him until then. I was 17 years of age and I soaked up every song of the guitar.
As kids we use to sing, "my eyes are still curly and my hair is still blue". :P
Old Hank had more talent in his little finger than THE WHOLE MUSIC INDRUSTY today have.

Ain't had no loving like a hugging and a kissing in a long long while 🎶
I could listen to this song for eternity. I loved hearing it as the credits rolled at the end of the film Last Picture Show.

Well, why don't you love me like you used to do How come you treat me like a worn out shoe My hair's still curly and my eyes are still blue Why don't you love me like you used to do Ain't had no lovin' like a huggin' and a kissin' In a long, long while We don't get nearer or further or closer than a country mile Why don't you spark me like you used to do And say sweet nothin's like you used to coo I'm the same old trouble that you've always been through So, why don't you love me like you used to do Well, why don't you be just like you used to be How come you find so many faults with me Somebody's changed so let me give you a clue Why don't you love me like you used to do Ain't had no lovin' like a huggin' and a kissin' In a long, long while We don't get nearer or further or closer than a country mile Why don't you say the things you used to say What makes you treat me like a piece of clay My hair's still curly and my eyes are still blue Why don't you love me like you used to do

@@thepreacher9895 He wasn't? Excuse me for my disrepectful comment, pal. I don't know much about him really. He made it big back in the 70's, so I thought he was part of that outlaw movement. Many people state that outlaw country was the start of corporate Nashville mess. He wrote great songs though.

Don Helms the best steel player ever, period. My uncle opened for Hank a number of times on WSFA radio in Montgomery before Hank made it big. He told me once no one could work a crowd like Hank.

I keep debating the KING of country, but they won't accept Hank Williams SR. I don't get it. I guess they are not educated in country music.....and I love rock music.
My father favourite singer brilliant
You got that right And I call that real blue eyed Soul 😘
Hank is King of COUNTRY MUSIC !
My Gramps died like three days ago and this song was playing and I remember hearing it from my childhood never knew this song till some one told me I always enjoyed this song
Hank was the best, Anita Carter was the best, they do the most legendary duet in our American country music history, a few months before Hanks passing. Just the best..
This is great Country Music...
The stereo version is so much better than the itunes version, you can actually hear everything and hanks voice doesn't overpower it
Excellent!

Sometimes I can't decide which was better, Hank or his Cowboys.

Old timey.
I clicked on this one thinking that I haven't heard it before, then all of a sudden it started coming back to me. It was weird, almost like I had only dreamed that I heard it before.
