Bocephus during his pinnacle run with I think 9 albums on the charts at once. In his heyday he was the king of Country, he will always be the greatest in my book. The voice, the entertainer, the hit maker, the great albums year after year sometimes 2 great albums in one year, 1977, 1979, 1981, 1983. Never one dimensional and super prolific musician.

All these Gilley's shows go hard af, I wish i was alive to go there.

What an incredible set! From the Bocephusised version of Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way to the closing I Saw the Light- just Fantastic! He sure had a bunch of great songs coming out over the next 10 years after this show.

The rambling man cover was incredible, great post! Great set all together!

Gilley’s was my dad’s biggest client back in the day when he was a Lone Star beer wholesaler in east Harris county. Takes me back!
