These wonderful comments below say it all, I have been inspired by Hank and the Shadows since early schoolboy days back in the mid 60's and still to this day in 2021 I thrill to the sound of the clean chimey melodies of Sir Hank Marvin...An excellent ambassador to the electric guitar and how a backing band should sound :)

I agree with everything everyone has said. I am almost 76 and have been a fan since l was 14 in 1962 when myself and a friend played Apache (very poorly) To a few classes at secondary school.

He is the best bar no one!

Nobody else can make a Fender Stratocaster sound so pure and regal. Hank Marvin's sound is truly sublime.

I am 70 and still enjoy hearing the shadows music Hank Marvin a really great guitarist and now his son Ben is playing his guitar along with him is just great keep on playing Hank.

@@nigelwilliams9307 beat me to it. There have been so many names linked to the Shadows over the decades, it's hard to place the performances. This is the first time of seen Hank without Bruce. They both tried playing / recording with other's, and then regrouping , and then retiring again. They must be in their 80's now, I am. and I was in my late teens when I bought 'Apache'

I used to work with a lad who was into AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and the like. Even he said that Hank was the best.

Perth is a beautiful city. I have visited quite a few times over the years. Almost a hop skip and jump from the Victorian surf coast in Australia. Next time I visit Perth I shall keep an eye out for Hank. Stay well safe and happy everyone.

Our cinema ASTRA in Retief ST IN PIETERMARTIZBURG always played SHADOWS music 🎶 before they started the movies 🎥. Most SHADOWS music has since then being stuck in my mind, from the 60s till now 2022. Long live the SHADOWS viva. Pietermartizburg KZN South Africa 🌍

There R so many bands & singers that have had a good sound but have only had a 1 hit wonder & then they fade into oblivion. I'm 71 & grew up with so many good songs that it's sad these people & their music just don't exist anymore. My older brother introduced me to DO-WOP, then because The Beatles came by & brought with them all their English Mates of the 1960's some made out very well, while were just 1 hit wonders just like so many American bands & singers these people too faded into oblivion. It all depends on your writing ability & how many good songs u can turn or who is your writing team & just how good they are. The music business is a very tough industry u got to be good & talented to stay alive or u will be passed by.
