I met him in the early 80's. He was a gracious man with immense talent. He made me discover the incredibly beautiful world of jazz.

My dad's favourite saxophonist, I was into Kenny G in the 1980's but the older I got the more I went back to my dad's old records listening to Alone Again Naturally, Wildflower, Brians Song & the whole of " I hear a symphony" album.

Not to mention Hank's unique rendition of the Christmas Song, it's a must hear. Album is "We got a good thing going" I think

I heard a man playing Tico Tico in his car. I'm usually too scared/nervous to approach people, but I knew I'd never hear music with that sound again. So, desparate to discover what beautiful instruments I was hearing, I asked the old man what he was listening to. I could tell by his subtle chuckle that he was pleased to know that a 15 year old was so intrigued...he then let me have a look at his CD, that was cool. Because of him I'm a fan of Hank Crawford, and discovered my deeper interest in Jazz. Also...I later realised that I could've easily used Shazam...💀💀💀. And I'm like, 18 years old now.😐
