Honestly season 1 to 12 was good for me and I liked some of season 13 to 15 and then it's kind if hard to watch but will always be my favorite show

Hank's voices were always easy on my ears.

He never should have apogised for the Apu voice, its a stereotype. By that metric, Dan Castellaneta should apologise for grounds keeper Willie.

Well, if the "small number of people" he met were hurt, and Azaria empathized, then maybe it's reasonable--and his call to make, if he truly feels that way--to apologize. I'll admit that I've laughed at the jokes, and I've also empathized with people from cultures foreign to my own, and grown from those interactions, acquaintances & friends.

The named writer generally is responsible only for a vague plot outline - most of the dialogue is changed so it's very collaborative.

Hank, and all the core voice cast from the Simpsons, are simply extraordinary. (Comic Book Guy is an utter fave. He gets such good lines). And let’s not forget the great Phil Hartman. They made that show.

It's ridiculous. He lost the roles because of people who think you should only play characters of your own race... and yet on Family Guy, they replaced Cleveland's actor with a black guy well-known for doing impressions of WHITE characters!? So none of it makes any sense.

He was in an episode of "Fresh Prince" where he played the sheriff's deputy who Aunt Viv called "Barney Fyfe."

I remember his role in Herman’s Head.

I worked in a liquor store for 2 years. Raj was an amazing man and had a beautiful family. He LOVED my Indian accent when i would mock him cause trust me he would hit right back. But this artist/comedian/impressionist is new age gold.

The thing is most Indian people loved Apu, he was one of the first representations of Indians in western culture and as stereotypical as he is that’s the beauty of it I think, it seemed like people were getting offended for us and thought our feelings would be hurt but that’s bullshit

Does anyone know of a Hank Azaria clip? I think it was on one of these late night talk shows where he talks about meeting Jack Nicholson and how Jack's points of reference are so far back in time and removed from his own that he can't understand what he's talking about. Hank does an impression of Jack referencing all these old movie stars and things that happened decades ago. I'm pretty damn sure it was Hank on one of these talk shows but I can't for the life of me find it.

Also, does derrière translate well? The there a "high class and at the same time foreign" version of "ass" in the language to which this clic is translated?

Mazer2721 yeah, problem here is Finnish pronunciation. We say things how its written. It is very different than spoken English. Translater here uses simple letter trick like Anu Saukko (girls name) -> Anus Aukko (butt hole)..
