The only watch you'll ever need. Looks good while wearing shorts and sandals, looks good while wearing a tuxedo. Still looks new 30 years after I first put it on my wrist. I'm 57 and it's one of about three things in my life I've never had second thoughts about buying.

Nah . It’s not meant for the suit . I would rather get a dress watch and wear sub for everything else .

Purchase my 114060 in 2013 a retirement present to myself…I finally had it serviced in 2022(that tells you what an amazing watch it is almost nine years before it needed service)

The 114060 is the best/most luxurious watch of all time. I’m taking delivery of mine tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Solid review, I like the sound of the platinum PVD filled graduation on the ceramic bezel, that's exactly the process they use to fill the laser cut makers and cardinal plots. They even went with true 18K white gold for all hour makers and hands instead of microns of plating. I'm loving mine true sub 126040 and Starbucks.

I recently reached out to my local Rolex authorized dealer and ask them about this specific watch Rolex submariner. They replied back and told me they could add me to their four year waiting list. I finally worked hard and made it to the point where I could afford this watch and wear it every day. It’s a good thing it’s not My only watch. Last year I purchased a new Omega SMP 300m on steel strap. It’s a phenomenal watch no regrets

My 124060 keeps better time than my 114060 ever did. And it looks a lot better while doing it

The perfect watch that I have worn since 1975.

I thought monobloc meant the caseback can’t be removed.

I don't understand; you are showing the older, chunky-lug Sub. That was discontinued in 2019. The new one looks better and has a more advanced movement.

the Tudor black bay 58 is the only approved homage to rolex with vintage diver specs. I prefer the bb58 over this clunky brick but I prefer the bracelet on the Rolex.

I would recommend the "no date" version. The very first Submariners were no dates. And: when diving no one needs the date, in as a tool and basic watch the date can be omitted.

THE PRICES OF 114060 AND 116610 DECREASED AFTER THE SUBMARINER RE DESIGNED.

One of the best reviews I have ever watched. And, I have watched thousands. 👍

FYI 114060 is NOT monoblock. Sub was introduced in 1953.

Thought about an omega seamaster. But tgats the easy way out. Id prefer the rolex.

Super case was a horrible design move by Rolex. Really glad they corrected it with the new sub. I’ve owned the 114060 and 124060, and the 124060 is soo much better.

You've done a great job on the video but boy those hands and nails are hard to look at. Maybe wear gloves next time or get a manicure.

Rolex should drop the ROLEXROLEXROLEX engraving on the rehaut ring. It's very tacky.

It’s not even noticeable in person unless you are holding the watch at an angle up close and looking for it. You’ve clearly never experienced the watch in person

@J B own a 16610 that has the rehaut. These were the last of that generation only produced a few years. Bought new at a Rolex ad in 2010.

Helps fight counterfeit watches it's a quality control feature

My first Rolex was an Explorer. I thought that would be my grail watch. Then I bought a Sub. The Sub spends much more time on my wrist. Love it.

For my eye it is too big for your wrist. It can't even sit properly on the wrist.

Prefer the Tudor Black Bay

Nah, too thick. The old one isn't so bad but the new one is too big and thick, the Sub looks so much more refined and stylish. You'll never need the extra water resistance either. And no, I don't have small wrists (7.75 inch - 18.5cm)
