We are singing this for our choir this year. Mrs.Ellis if you see this, hello :)

The pronunciation guide says "i" is as in "little", but they're clearly saying "lee-la" every time it says lil-lah. Studying this, myself, so I'm wondering which is correct?

Not gonna lie, my first impression seeing this video was that this was going to be corny. A mostly white choir singing an arabic song, which y'know it happens all the time so I thought this would be corny. Well surprisingly this was really good and not corny, I loved the setting and the drumming seemed quite professional rather than some gimmicky way to keep time and seem culturally aware like many other choirs have done. Anyways, great job and amazing vocals, thanks for giving it your all, it really shows Edit: corrected statement

Don't feel bad. It's not an easy piece. I don't know if had done this a capella like these singers or not, but this group went flat by the key change and stayed flat. My point- many performances might have their flaws, but you still did it.

Singin this tomorrow, they are all so white
