    This is the sort of thing that KZread is for. Not spoiled brats taking videos of themselves destroying luxury goods. Just ordinary, everyday human beings doing really cool things, which is really what life is about.

    Excellent work. This is probably a maiden test flight otherwise he would fly it around. Anyone who bashes this is a fool. Most cannot even fly this type of helicopter, let alone build one from scratch. It takes outstanding skill to build and tune a scratch-built collective pitch helicopter. A++++

    Agree, Airplanes are much easier objects almost anyone can build, but helicopters not, I believe his main propeller engine is weak also, needs more work on the pitching mechanism

    Agreed! I'm just starting in this hobby myself (on a 450 cp electric) and i had to build it myself, and flying is certainly a challenge! I've managed a steady hover, but it's definitely much harder than it looks to fly a collective pitch heli.

  • @valentijnraw

    @valentijnraw

    Jeffrey Wong what do you mean by collective pitch heli ? because its collective pitch only ?? what makes the heli go forward then ? or is it just a developing stage trying figure out how to cycle pitch ?

  • @Jeffrey_Wong

    @Jeffrey_Wong

    10 жыл бұрын

    No, collective pitch is just saying you control both cyclic and collective. On a fixed pitch trainer you only have cyclic control and no collective. (altitude is controlled by throttle on a fixed pitch heli)

    excellent work. I am truly impressed with the design of your transition from the engines to the mast. very nice engineering. I am also building a heli with a 42cc chainsaw engine. Mine will be timing belt driven with a 90 degrees angle drive hooked to the pinion and main gear. Again very nice work !

  • @Hightreewalker

    Of course. Once lifted there is no limit for a heli (only the power of the transmitter or dangerous glitches can come into play if you fly really far), it's a decision of the pilot. Guess he doesn't like to crash. He knows what he does and keeps it safe, he's carefull. Flying a heli is absolutely not easy, And i guess it's a test flight, nice tricks might be seen in his next video, this model has power enough for that :-)

    I kinda agree with you, I just would not let development get in the way of personal freedom. I believe development comes as a result of personal freedom, if the technology were here yet, I'm sure someone would have been making millions on flying bikes. :-) I wouldn't mind more recycling though, toys as well. But take a look at a company like Walkera. They develop brilliant "toys" with innovative use of new and old technology I am sure will be used in everyday household appliances in the future.

Most of these wankers writing with such negativity would scarcely have the brains to Pre-mix the 2-stroke fuel, let alone design and build such a complex system

    Yes it has forward motion, he's hovering it, and in order to stay in a hover you have to have control over forward sideways and spinning motions. It's really remarkable to have made a home built heli at all. My question is though, can it do flips? :3
