Hi, sorry for the late reply. You can still make groovs on the shutter edges and fit G-section handles, but its tricky as your shutters already have finished edges, so any carpenter would find it hard to achieve.

You dont need Profile for Acrylic Shutters if they are used with MDF/PLYWOOD.. The Edges can also me made with acrylic in this case, which gives it an almost seamless look..

Please suggest which one is best, handle or handleless...? I don't like profile nor want push mechanism for kitchen.

Handles are actually easy to maintain, you can go for it! The functionality doesn't get hampered by the type of handles. Just choose handles wisely, looking at the complete kitchen first, because if done improperly, they can enhance or decrease the look of the kitchen.

Any material that will not crack open while making a grove on its edges can have these handles installed. In case of PVC shutters, if they are not very stringent, can have these handles fitted.

Regular/Conventional Handles works well for every type of storage.. If you want profiles, then go for G-section Handle..

Very informative , i went for aluminium profile after watching ur video. I only have one concern , the colour I took not complementing my cabinets. Can you please tell me, if any paint can be coated on this handles to give it some other colour

Hi, actually it is not an Yes/No answer. All the aluminium profiles available are already finished with some color, so any new paint/coat will not be having a long life. Moreover if the profiles are already fitted onto the furniture it is very difficult to remove them and send for coating again. So ultimately it is not worthy to do this activity. Hope it helps.

Perhaps you can use ''furniture wrapping'' for the handles, they use that to renovate the kitchen cabinets to change the colour for example.

The ideal way is taking Side-openable Shutters. With that you can EITHER increase shutter size from bottom for grip (you will also need to consider the shutters below) OR make it push-to-open (less reliable)

If we go for rose gold G profile handles, are they durable or the polish chips off?

If they are Electroplated properly while manufacturing, then there are less chances of the coating coming out. But the vendors which make these on a small scale OR get your handles customise-colored on existing handle, then the quality is not the same. We would suggest to go for better brands for Rose Gold, Gold, Black, etc kind of finishes, as these brands follow a good process for electro-plating

G profile handlds looks good but not very comfortable while actually using. My personal experience 😢

One question . We have discussed the profiles so.far . But what about the motorised shutter . Slight touch it opens , by pressing a button (switch) using electric motor , it shuts softly . Suitable for replacement of hydraulic over head kitchen shutters .

We generally categorise Overhead Cabinet as the lower half of the wall cabinets. For that you have all the options open.. like: 1) No handles (just extend your shutter downwards) 2) Cabinet Profiles (fits on the cabinet and provides a groove to hold and open the shutter) 3) Shutter Profile Handle (eg. G-Section, F-section, etc.. fits on the shutter on the edges) 4) Regular Handles (fits on the surface of the shutters, provides better grip)

Hi Arushi, there's no problem with handles, even in acrylic. But this video is for people who do not want or like handles. We are suggesting all the options that they can do.

some G-section profiles have end-caps provision, but if the profiles are different or do not have space for end-caps, you can rub the corners with fine sandpaper... but dont rub too much in case of special finishes like black, rosegold, etc.

J profile is good option?

G-section profile is always preferred.. it sturdy as well as every carpenter knows how to install it correctly.. basically it is risk-free..

Shelves lagane me koi problem nhi hai. Aap apne storage requirement ke hisab se Shelf kitni height pe lagani hai wo decide kar sakte hai.. Aur Drawers/Trolleys lagane ke liye Uske andar ke Utensils ka height measure karna hota hai, for example, Thali Basket ka height 15" se 16" minimum hona chaiye, Cutlery Basket ka height Minimum 5" hona chaiye, etc. Inke hisab se aap apna storage plan kar sakte hai. Lekin aap kisi Designer OR Contractor se consult kar lijiye.

We use K-Zone.. But availability differs as there are many brands and depends in which City you live in. Every many local hardware shops can provide you this, if you show them the image of the Profile you want.

It will be better if you show fixing of the the Aluminium Profile in your video.

L-section handles are not supposed to be covered on Edges, only front portion can be covered.
