why didn't enterprise cars get towed? chickenshit. couple of expensive tow jobs would fix it. so would some deflated tires.

WoW! That truck came way too close. In Colorado we have the move over law and slow down. That would be a hefty fine. What happened at the rental "enterprise"? Did they move their cars? I bet they gave you a hard time. Keep up the good job. I know there's a lot of people that appreciate what you're doing.

When I managed a property with open lots and found a car illegally parking in a handicapped space, I didn't call the towing company. I called the police. They showed up much faster and would cite the offender with a nice, big ticket. The tow company would take up to a couple of hours to show up, but the cops would be there in less than 10 minutes. I loved living in smaller, safer cities with cops that weren't too busy.

Really appreciate what you do! I've been in the grocery store and had to have the store announce the license plate of the person parked on the lined area between the handicap spots. I couldn't get my mobility scooter in my vehicle.

so enterprise is above the law? why were they not towed? I guess its their lot they can park where they want, probably ran out of room ,but it was still rude of them!

Enterprise doesn't own the lots they operate in. They lease space in commercial buildings owned by someone other than themselves.

Funny you mention Enterprise, I sent them an email 3 weeks ago querying a rather small refund they have never replied, maybe its a sign as to how they operate generally!

My brother-in-law was a tow truck driver...he was hit and killed while picking up a vehicle on the side of the highway. Dangerous job - you are appreciated, sir!

@jeff haman No shit Sherlock. That's how handicap spots are marked. All the cars shown on this video were parked in handicap spots that had signs. The signs were either on a post, painted on the ground or both.

Totally agree, people who park in handicap spots are the worst. Because it's not just the handicap spots, parking in those spots demonstrates a disregard for people in general. It indicates how they behave across the board.

Nothing pisses me off more than to see a automobile parked in a handicapped parking spot, or an able bodied person with a parking placard assigned to someone else and them not be present.

Towtruck Driver I am disabled myself but usually leave the handicapped spots open for people who are worse off than I am like quadraplegics, paraplegics and amputees. It's disgraceful that heathy people with no mobility problems refuse to respect the rights of people who are not as fortunate. Personally I think they should not only have their vehicle towed. They should also go to jail. Thank you for all that you do in the interest of people with disabilities.

Where are you when I need you??? I’m new to Atlanta and just moved into a large apartment complex. The first night I moved in, the disabled spot AND the gridded spot next to it blocking the ramp, were parked in by cheaters. I notified management and they said they would try to find the owners.li told them that I was be calling the police if it happened again. Three days later, (now), a car parked in the gridded area next to a (legally) parked disabled spot. I cannot use the ramp to get an Uber. It’s raining and I have to drive my chair through the busy crowded lot through the car gates (not safe.) My husband has called the police twice and nothing has happened. It’s been around four hours now.

Parking in a handicap spot without the handicap placard is a violation of STATE LAW. Call the cops and see what these people think about the fine for that.

Enterprise was horrible the one time I used them after my vehicle had to go in for repairs. Never will use them again.

These handicap violations are so serious and common in every city theat the fines need to be greatly increased. Another common viokation is the borrowing of other people's stickers or the application of them somehow when the drivers have no need at all for a double space because they not only walk as well as marathon runners but also have no need for a walker, wheelchair, or scooter to justify double wide parking. These people prevent hundreds of truly handipped users from using the spots they desperately need. Those who have no need to use wide handicap spaces and also use false or illegal placards should receive double the regular fine and havebtheir vehicles towed away so they know what it feels for the handicapped to be locked out of their own cars.

If it's AT a Enterprise rental car place.. One possibility is that those cars are scheduled to be used by a handicap person.. and they have not been picked up yet.. That person would use there placard in the car once they get there.. OR.. just some lazy employees.. Also possible they were just returned to there by a handicap person and they have not been moved by the employees yet. I try to think of possible situations before making a judgement, sometimes it's not what it seems... But it often is also.. never know.. so I try not to judge.. unless I SAW them park there.. The Uber driver could have been picking up a handicap person.. they will tell us if they are disabled. Better to just double park in front of the door though...

I appreciate your positive perspective. That being said, if there isn't a placard, it isn't legal. Uber can move to the cap spot once the fare is present with their placard. I might give Uber slight wiggle room if it was a repeat fare. It is the responsibility of Enterprise to move those cars. Unless all three cars were dropped off within moments of each other, it is a hard sell. When returning a rental the person who leased the car does a walk around with an employee. Paperwork is signed as to the condition of the returned car and fuel level. An employee would notice it in a cap spot. Due to high turnover, if the Enterprise is near an airport, returning cars are generally parked at a drop off point. An employee does a quick walk around and fuel level check. The person who leased the car is then free to go. Dropped cars are later cleaned and returned to the lot by an employee. Upon pick up, an Enterprise employee drives to the front door area to go over the car and paperwork. The driver accepts the car and leaves. Again, I very much appreciate your positive perspective. I just can't be supportive of Enterprise on this one. One hundred percent they knew the cars were parked in those cap spots. Take care😁

In California parking in a handicap parking space without a placard or plate is a minimum $395 fine with no maximum. I have seen a person get fined as much as $15,000. When they complained the judge said keep talking he would make $150,000 and if they wanted to keep going he would go to $1,500 000. He them reminded them the law says "no maximum "on the fine. Lol

Both the Accessible (HP) parking spaces do not comply with (HP) parking space laws

I can't help thinking it is a bit of a lost cause trying to shame people that simply have no shame. When I was a kid we used to puncture two or more tires of such cars for a bit of fun because we saw them as justifiable targets - though behaving like that (criminally) wasn't sustainable past 16 lol. Good that someone is giving them a hard time.

I can’t believe that 74 illiterates thumbs down a person who takes the responsibility which the police seem too busy buying donuts to enforce the law regarding permit parking for handicapped persons. Being handicapped myself, I really appreciate anyone who is willing to come to our aid.

It would be awesome for jurisdictions to authorize the towing of anyone abusing a disabled spot. All you would have to do is video/photo the vehicle before hooking it.

You may not be able to tow cheaters from enterprise, but you can report them to the ADA and corporate. I’m sure employees were directed by management.

In the area I live the avis rental car company has a spot in the local mall and they do same thing,,park illegally in handicap spots all the time including the zone in between the spaces where no one is suppose to park so that handicap folks like my self can't get in or out of vehicle,,it's bs

I once went to a doctor appt. One hour early just so I could get a handicapped parking spot so my ramp had the space to open. Went to my apt. Came out and somebody parked on the white strip area, could not open my ramp to go home. I just started crying and then changed emotions to pissed off. So oops the back of my electric wheel chair just started to put scratches and dents in that car. Not proud of myself but I did feel better. Finally got a nice army soldier to back my van out so I could go home.
