Genius I have 2 CH kitties, both pee pad trained but sometimes they lie too close to the edge. This will be perfect to stop any pee from escaping. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Thank you so much for this! My 16 year-old's been struggling to get into the box and sometimes fails to be able to get inside in time. I've made a low, wide, step by placing an old cardboard scratching pad in front of it, but this looks like a perfect solution!

I can’t thank you enough for this video. This is exactly what I was looking for, well even better actually, for my sweet 20 yo 🐱 who has arthritis and major joint/nerve issues. I looked & looked but couldn’t find anything quite like this for sale anywhere. I was practically in tears of relief when I watched your video because I was so desperate to find something to help our poor girl. We made this over the weekend and I’m hoping Willow will make the transition to her new box smoothly. Still need to get the right kind of litter but I think she’s going to love ❤️ it. Great video. I just adopted a senior kitty from a shelter and I've been watching her to see if she can/is using the existing litter boxes. She urinated on the floor instead - could be nerves but I think the entrances are just too high for her, she is a bit creaky in the back end. I've set up a restaurant bun pan that is only one inch from the floor until I can figure out something with sides - you answered my question. I think it is terrible how companies charge so much for a low entrance litter box.

Awesome ❤ great project! I had a cat that suffered from ataxia (vestibular disease) and walked around like she was drunk. The first day after the attack, she was dragging her legs behind her. The vet said her symptoms could improve but it was impossible to know by how much. During this time, I used a disposable low litterbox that I attached two cardboard tubes on either side to stabilize the box kind of like a pontoon boat, since she kept flipping it over. She ended up gaining back most of her mobility. ❤

This is awesome! I will have to try this with my hind-leg-deformed foster kitten when she gets a bit bigger!!

Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for good handicap-accessible litterboxes for my beloved and very blind bunny rabbit. This seems perfect! (Btw, use non-clumping litter for handicapped kitties. It's so much easier to clean and it doesn't get stuck in places they can't get to themselves.)

You would need to get one of those mats designed to catch and trap litter right in front of it.

Wood burning tool from the craft store. You can use a soldering iron, too.

Per cat behaviorist: Rule of thumb is that the box should be one and a half times the length of your cat, from nose to butt.

Do you not use litter? Would like to see cat use it.

That was my thought. Litter would slide right out of there when cats drag themselves out of there.

Box $5...tools to do this....not 5 dollars ! This is amazing I have two ch cats and i need a special box but i don't have those tools :(

I’ve used a box cutter before, it just takes a little more patients. You can even heat it with a lighter to melt the holes.

The "plastic welder" (as ull find it called) cost me 20 bucks on ebay. I rexommend doing this activity outside. Can get fumy.
