Mr. Scott, you are the finest British organist I have ever heard.
Sehr schön, da werden Erinnerungen wach. Habe dieses Stück mit 12 Jahren in der evangelischen Stadtkirche Düsseldorf bei meiner C-Prüfung gespielt. Seitdem nie wieder🥲
All concertos for Organ by Handel are excellent, but this one has a unique charm. Thanks for posting, and we sending you you our best wishes for Christmas, from Greece.
bravo!!!!!!!!!
Diese unglaubliche Fingerfertigkeit ist echt beeindruckend, Mr. Scott ist ein meisterhafter Virtuose.
Wow!
Love this. I've always liked Handles music. Was brought up with it since I was a little girl. I am now in my 81st year..
I stumbled across this today and this complicated musical piece is so beautifully played!
Wonderful! 💖💖
Always amazing!
Many thanks again to Jonathan and Tom for some wonderful music and a big shout out to Mr. Handel without whom this would not have been possible!
An astonishing performer and interpreter of Handel. Very lively and wondeful. 11/10!
Très beau canon de pachabel jamais écrit par lui mais qui a servi d'inspiration a l'auteur anonyme de de ce fameux canon. Merci qui ? Merci Haendel !
Nice to know our wonderful organist is able to Handel a piece such as this.

So special, so beautiful!
I heard this for the first time in your concert and it caused me to fall in love with Handel.
Wonderful! Thank you
Phenomenal 👏👏
Thank you. I loved it.
Magique 😍😍😍 Merciiiii
Genius! You play it perfectly.
la perfezione. Great Jonathan! Organo meraviglioso.
BASSO OSTINATO 😍
" Magnificent..."
This is my favorite concerto. I can't tell you how great your performance is. Wonderful! I hope to see you in korea.
Just loved it . Sounds strange but I felt the music was so suited to the auditorium clean and sharp .
A wonderful sound/sight to start my day. Thank you very much. ❤️👏🏼
Great music and fantastic organist !
Thank you, Jonathan. This is great!!
I love Handel so much and this concert is incredibly wonderful! Thank you both for this wonderful video!
Okay -- everyone does realize this guy is playing the bassline (ordinarily an orchestral part) with his feet, right? Wow.
Shear happiness! George Frederick Starting Handel is my all time favourite composer. :-) My first Orchestral piece I played as first violin, at school, was the Water Music.
i love the voicing in this instrument
Totally in love with this SOUND, this organ and building. Quick Hauptwerk enthusiasts get cracking!!! Got to see you live one of these days if the epidemic diminishes. Get yourself to Hull City ha! Go EAST young man!! Ha! Thank you for the music. We all listen to everything you and Tom create. It's something always to look forward to! Best, Karen x.
Thank You Jonathan I really enjoyed that! :-)
👏👏👏... UAU!!!
I really love how you play Handel's music.
Really enjoyed that!! Thank you.
Superb as always. It's hard to perfect total perfection. Always enjoy your (and Thomas') concerts. They take me to a place of comfort and warmth.
Lovely as always Jonathan! I remember this from the concert! Take care!😁👍👏👏👏👏
Bedankt Jonathan. Voor dit mooie orgelspel. Heb weer heerlijk genoten. Gerrie Kozijn
Lovely playing Jonathan! It’s so good to hear the RNCM Organ after all these years. Stay safe.
Beautiful playing as always by Jonathan on the perfect instrument (very clear voicing in neoclassical style) for yet another wonderful transcription.
Great organ music Jonathan, keep it up.
Espléndida y justa.... Sin sobresaltos técnicos 💯‼️👑
Arte en estado puro😍
I'm starting to find a problem with Jonathan's playing; it is too good. There's a lot of other organ music on KZread but I'm finding that I can't really listen to it because I compare it all the time with Jonathan's playing. What shall I do?

My advise: make a private playlist with all those great viedos by the brothers and hear it on repeat. That's what i did when i encounteres this exact problem and ist works great. 😄 Oh and also Always wait desperately for a new Concert or Video to pop up 😅

Because it was a very popular harmonic progression during the baroque, many composers used the same technique, basso ostinato.
Is this Handel's take on Pachelbel's Canon?
@Musica-xo3uv
3 жыл бұрын
No, this is technically a passacaglia, using the ground bass technique (basso ostinato) , very common during the Baroque era. Nothing similar with a canon. Many composers used a similar harmonic progression.
I would like to purchase this sheet music, but there is no sheet music uploaded.
Just basically a variation of Pachabel’s Canon in D
@danik.5545

No. This piece is technically a Passacaglia, variations on a basso ostinato. Pachelbel's Canon has a similar harmonic progression, but many Baroque composers also have similar compositions because it was a popular musical technique at the time. It wasn't Pachelbel's invention.
How can we tell it's a huge organ and not a tiny person?
@MaxSolar-dd5wq

That's the catch. Johnathan is really a dwarf and hides in his hobbit-hole of where he plays the organ. He has several organs because they are much easier to build as they are smaller.. The sound is the same to Johnathan's ears as a normal size organ's noise is to us because of his size, again.
Church would be a whole lot more enjoyable if the organ sounded anything like this.
How’d he manage to sneak out during the strict lockdown? What if the police hear the organ playing from outside? Will they arrest people next?

I would say this is essential work, keeping the rest of us going during lockdown. The TV and radio keep going, so KZread content creators should be able to as well.
