@@Beastie132 I haven't done a video myself but I can suggest a few good resources. Both Paul Sellers and Rob Cosman have great videos on hand tool woodworking that are worth watching... There are loads more, but those two taught me just about everything I know about hand tools.

On big lid of gluebot there is a notch, the red cap over the nozzle must come off when applying glue. It hangs loose. The red cap fitts on the top notch on the lid. 🙄😉😀

Beautiful process and immensely satisfying (for you and the viewer). I love to work "without electricity" but it does have its problems. A cedar cot I was building this way - 88 mortise/tenon joints, 4 bookmatched panels etc., all hand cut, sanded to 2000 etc. and our son arrived 2 weeks early, well before it was finished. My wife bought me a Festool Domino system to avoid it happening again. Not long after, I was building a set of built-in drawers, all hand-cut dovetails, blind/half-blind and loving the process. My wife must have missed me on those lonely nights while I was happy in my shop so she bought me a Leigh dovetail jig system. I love to hand-thickness, sand to a polish and take my sweet time finishing my projects. Another pair of bedside tables was taking a little longer than my girl wanted, so she bought me a helical thicknesser. I'm currently working as slowly as I can on some hand-cut "bandsaw boxes" as I don't have a bandsaw... :-) Cheers and thanks from Sydney - Dave

i respect people who has the self-control to not flick their ryoba saw after each cut to clean up the saw dust jammed in between the saw tooth (at least that's why I flick mine, not because i giggle at that sound, i promise).

THIS IS THE REAL WOODWORKING SKILLS !!! I've hear many times peoples bragging about how good their woodworking skills. But I ask him if he use powertools, then he say Yes. I will say that is no skills, he can because he have powertools. What if he doesn't have powertools ? I bet he can't do it.

I love this video because he doesn't need electricity or power tools. He doesn't need music playing over the important sounds that the hand tools make. Videos that play music over the natural tool sounds are almost unwatchable to me. This video will be on my playlist to watch over and over again because it's straight forward and no unnecessary bells and whistles. Thanks dk builds👍

I took this vo-tech class in high school, woodworking. I took a lot of vo-tech classes, because it was just big jerk-off, but this one time I had this teacher by the name of... Mr... Mr. Pike. I guess he was like a Marine or something before he got old. He was hard hearing. My project for his class was to make this wooden box. You know, like a small, just like a... like a box, you know, to put stuff in. So I wanted to get the thing done as fast as possible. I figured I could cut classes for the rest of the semester and he couldn't flunk me as long as I, you know, made the thing. So I finished it in a couple days. And it looked pretty lame, but it worked. You know, for putting in or whatnot. So when I showed it to Mr. Pike for my grade, he looked at it and said: "Is that the best you can do?" At first I thought to myself "Hell yeah, bitch. Now give me a D and shut up so I can go blaze one with my boys." I don't know. Maybe it was the way he said it, but... it was like he wasn't exactly saying it sucked. He was just asking me honestly, "Is that all you got?" And for some reason, I thought to myself: "Yeah, man, I can do better." So I started from scratch. I made another, then another. And by the end of the semester, by like box number five, I had built this thing. You should have seen it. It was insane. I mean, I built it out of Peruvian walnut with inlaid zebrawood. It was fitted with pegs, no screws. I sanded it for days, until it was smooth as glass. Then I rubbed all the wood with tung oil so it was rich and dark. It even smelled good. You know, you put nose in it and breathed in, it was... it was perfect.

Love the videos. My grandfather and his father were both into carpentry. Not masters or anything, but I was always impressed with what they built. I tried it for a semester in high school but it didn't really click. I'm wanting to give it another shot, but always feel discouraged when I think of my lack of space and funds for expensive tools. Was really nice seeing you build something simple yet beautiful with just your hands and basic tools, and I think that's just the sort of reminder I needed.

That's awesome, thank you for sharing Goats. My grandfather was the same way. Do give it another shot, if you are patient you can usually buy cheap used tools from someone getting out of the hobby and liquidating their tools. I've also had good luck at estate sales for hand tools. Best of luck in your woodworking journey!

Great vid - thx! No frills, just the tools, the materials, and the task. Love it. BTW - technically, plenty of electricity was used: Brain, muscle, and all cellular activity, lighting, heating, and recording - and then there is this interwebs thing ; )
