Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you like tool restorations or just restorations in general you should enjoy this one.
This is a one of a kind Homemade Air powered circular saw. It was found at a local auction and I thought out would be an awesome Restoration project for the channel. If you watch until the very end of the video you will see the saw running and a cut test. This saw turned out beautiful and was a great restoration project

Marvelous. I love restorations of old tools and machinery. In addition, each person gives her personal touch, and leaves her mark. All the best.

That saw looks like the pneumatic conversion was done by a third party company. The air motor part of the saw looks like a ingersoll-rand 313A. The Amish use lot of pneumatic tools especially circular saws and they power them with diesel compressors, I guess that gets around the electricity restrictions for Amish.

Yes this was a homemade saw. From what I could tell, it was from a Black & Decker 7” right angle air sander. Thanks for the comment!

@@RebuiltRestored Do you think it was homemade or was it factory built based on a existing saw. I have seen many specialty tools built from existing tools by smaller specialized companies.

From what I could tell, It appeared home made. The frame definitely looked custom. But I’m not sure. However it is a pretty neat set up.

@@RebuiltRestored I don't think its normal for the shaft to be that long on a pneumatic air grinder, is it a one piece shaft or does it have a extension screwed on the existing shaft.

I believe it was one piece. But I see what you are saying. Maybe they machined a longer shaft?

The saw says "skil" but that tag from the air grinder portion of the tool looks like it says " black & decker". Was this a factory made tool or something someone built out of parts & pieces for a particular need? We're air powered circular saws ever factory made?

  • @RebuiltRestored

It is homemade. It looks like they took a Skilsaw and the sander to make the air powered saw. And yes there are factory made air powered (pneumatic) saws Thanks for the view and comment!
