    God bless you, thanks for the video. Can it be done while 6 months passed after stroke? (CVA version of Stroke) I mean is it effective when golden time passed?

  • @SensingVitality

    @SensingVitality

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, our minds & bodies are always growing and evolving-- in neuroscience this term is "neuroplasticity" and even though it's best to make connections soon after a stroke, I believe you are still in a good window of time to heal and connect these areas that were affected by the stroke. Of course, we don't know the real extent of damage with any injury-- but this gentle work has been quite effective for many with stroke and brain injury. Rest in between movements--- even if you don't feel that much-- make sure to rest. This gives your brain and nerves a chance to sense the effects of these movements. let me know how this works for you. Repeat this lesson a number of times and try others as well. My Face series on Patreon is helpful for stroke-- as is the Face lessons here on KZread.

    Hi, I have numbness and tingling in the left hand, I’ve had MRI and neck is ok, I have been diagnosed with “slight” HAVs, but believe it maybe RSI from years of hand tools particularly using a ratchet, I’m working on the tendons at the elbow and night splint and it’s helping but I’ve had this 10yrs! Numbness could be 2 fingers or whole hand but never goes, no pain, but main issue is dexterity with small screws etc, I struggle, will this Nero-remapping help even though I may still have a problem?

  • @SensingVitality

    @SensingVitality

    2 ай бұрын

    Hi, sorry for the delay in responding... The splints can be helpful at night. A compression sleeve for your arm also can be helpful. I would work with gently decompressing your neck and chest to open the neural pathways to your hand. Check out these playlists and work with these lessons: Head & Neck Playlist: kzread.info/head/PLrnMEMVXiYLy8Z6azdx0hkhKsAco0C5x5 Shoulders: kzread.info/head/PLrnMEMVXiYLzKI0UBwTN-CVEwg_EnAOLZ The back playlist can open the spinal cord and chest which will also help your hands. Back: kzread.info/head/PLrnMEMVXiYLw5dBIZCS9Z1KwVA5Ao3HMI Let me know how it goes. I have some series on Patreon working with animal movements that are helpful for hands: Raccoon, Octopus (new series begins tomorrow) and Flower collections. www.patreon.com/SensingVitality

    Breaking my right arm improved my dexterity but my left hand (the one I didnt break) didn't allow my left hand pinky to act indepenpendent. Does the massage also counter act arthritis?

  • @SensingVitality

    @SensingVitality

    3 жыл бұрын

    Good question. Not sure how to answer. Sounds like you have some arthritis in your left pinky? Gentle massage can be helpful-- circulation in general is usually a good thing.... This work is more neurologically versus mechanically based (though massage does have neurological effects). The stimulation and the "pinning" of one finger at a time helps with improving sensation and independence. Let me know how it goes for you...

    Is this of any use if we suffer from spasticity in the hand?

  • @SensingVitality

    @SensingVitality

    Жыл бұрын

    It depends on the spasticity - is it a dystonia type or from stroke or CP? In general, my hand lessons from my hand playlist are helpful for spasticity AND if you have spasticity, it's important to go slowly with longer rest periods in between movements in order to avoid overstimulation of your brain. This rest time is important to clear your nervous system and calm down the spasticity. I have found it takes patience and gentle persistence with spasticity. I have a lesson I haven't recorded yet that I will try and post in the near future. I've had some great success with one of my clients with CP lately and will try and share that in a video lesson soon. Keep me posted with how you are doing.

    Difficult to say without seeing your hand/situation... Sometimes wearing a little splint or wrap during sleep might be helpful to rest the finger. I made a new lesson today that might be helpful if you can go very slowly to give your body time to reset and sense the bones as you make the movements. Oiling the tissue with castor oil/sesame oil with Heat is sometimes helpful. Can also check out more of my hand playlist: kzread.info/head/PLrnMEMVXiYLwx6D5eIiqmSQwmaELnT7Qh
