Mock and Keith could write a song!! Underrated as songwriters. ❤️😎🎼🎸🎤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They were on fire 3 separate times. The Brian Jones early to mid 60’s, Mick Taylor years including w/out in 68 with Beggars Banquet through 1973. It’s only rock in roll being the only good but not great album with Mick Taylor and with Woody from 76-83. Most artists would tour forever off any of those 3 eras. The Stones had a serious run and never fell out of favor up til 1986 for a few years til Bridges over Babylon. Not a fan of Steel Wheels. Least played album up to the mid 90’s for me and o hated rock and a hard place a Def Leppard type song. 🤮🤮

Love this song and the Black and Blue album. These songs 🎵 are pure gold ✨️ 💛. They are works of art 🎨. The Stones are always putting together amazing music 🎶 🎵. It just takes me back to my teenage years and even my adult years. Keep rockin and rolling. You are what rock and roll should sound like always.

One of my favorite Stones songs. It should be played much more than it is.

I always dug this song, hearing it takes me back to the late 70's. it never got the air-play it should have.

The picture above is called "the freedom pose" (because of the way that The Stones are positioned in it). By the way, it was taken in Jamaica.

The live version off of Live At The El Mocambo is one of the greatest live recordings of a Rolling Stones song ever..I love the album version until I heard the newly released live version !! Simply amazing! It’s faster harder rawer ! Simply Amazing!!

I checked it out and you are 200% right. I just discovered that whole album thanks to you! I appreciate you. Is it bootleg? Why can't I find "Winter" live anywhere?

I don’t think Winter has ever been played live unfortunately! One of my top Stones songs. I saw them sing Moonlight Mile live in Dallas a few years ago and it was incredible!

I'm 62 now and I still listen to this album and many other songs from the RS. I remember listening to this album as a teenager doing my homework in my bedroom. I loved this album and when Some Girls came out, I couldn't get enough of that album, too. I still prefer Black and Blue's mix of reggae/rock style. Sometimes it was hard to get the lyrics correctly because of Mick's pronunciation. If I remember correctly, the album came with a poster as well. Anyway, great stuff.

Awesome track and nice to read the lyrics, which was not always easy with The Stones back before digital.

'Black and Blue' is their most overlooked album IMO. At the time, and when radio mattered, it got very little play for some reason. Some Girls and Tattoo You got a lot of airtime, and still do today. Strange

Any other band this would be their best song. For the Stones it's an afterthought, but it shouldn't be. Tells a story effectively in a kickass way. Is this one Stones classic on a bowling channel? Im trying to figure out if i found this because i love the Stones and bowling. Serious question....
