The average Palestinian in Gaza is cooperating completely with Hamas. After all, before October 7th the average Gazan voted Hamas in power in 2005 and sent their children to Hamas controlled schools and to Hamas controlled health clinics and food banks. They did so willingly and without complaint. It is no wonder that the hostages were found in civilian houses and apartments.

I am a Vietnam combat vet, and we had a big problem trying to differentiate the vehicle from South Vietnamese civilians and many times they were both the same. It was a courageous rescue and very happy for the hostages that were rescued and for the families and I’m hoping that more of these rescues will come forth.

Am sure Palestinian civilians knew about these hostages and would do anything to keep them as bargaining chips so that Hamas could pay them

What difference does it make? If you would watch the right news other than FOX and other such propaganda trash you would see IDF helmet cam footage which clearly shows civilian dressed combatants. Calling in air strikes to supress enemy fire so you can safely retreat with rescued hostages and your courageous men. Is there gonna be collateral damage and possible civilian casualties in populated urban warfare, undoubtedly. The moral is, if you invade another country on Oct 7 slaughtering truly peaceful and innocent women, children, babies and elderly to the tune of 1,200 in a declaration of war then don't cry cause the enemy you chose is far superior since that sounds like a fo sur suicide proclamation and a war you can't win.

So in 7 months of killing and starving Gazans they have “rescued” 6 hostages. So is it going to take 200 more months to “rescue” the other hostages? Embarrassed? They have successfully kept these hostages for a half year. And, looking at the hostages, they have treated them humanely. Bibi hasn’t pushed for the release because he is embarrassed that they have been so well treated compared with the torturers he employed in his prisons.

To the contrary, Israeli soldiers are fighting well-armed and trained Hamas batallions who know their terrain and are hiding in 500 km of tunnels. Moreover, they don't respect any rules of war, are in civilian clothes, use schools and hospitals as rocket launching sites and civilians as human shields. So for the last 18 years, Hamas ad UNRWA gave their population education in hatered, 500 km of tunnels but no bomb shelters, and complete subjugation of women to sharia law. They also gave Israel constant rocket attacks and to the peacenick kibbutzim surrounding Gaza who were giving them employment and taking their children to Israeli Hospitals, they repayed with rapes, murder and pillage. Stop pretending that Gazans are poor people who are fighing occupation. They were not occupied at least since 2006, they are awash with UNRWA money (over $1.6 BILLION annual budget!!!) and their corrupt leaders are millionaires enjoying themselves in Doha. Arabs have to finalky take responsibility for their own poor decisions and corruption and stop blaming Israel for everything, including that they liberate their own people held by Hamas as hostages.
