Hello, did you make the change of water rolls from fabric to rubber? And if so, is it more useful and easy for work?

Hi nipi210, When we ordered this press, we asked to have it retrofitted with bare back rollers on both heads. We had a Multilith 1250 LW (Long & Wide), but getting the fountain/ink adjusted was horrific. Too much water and it would emulsify and wash out the colors and not enough, the job would tone up. In later years, I swapped out the bare back rollers on the Hamada's Main Head for a Kompac unit and never looked back. Wow, what a difference. Wish I had done it a lot sooner. ZERO issues with washout and toning. It only uses what it needs from a light text job to full coverage. The excess water not needed returns back to the nip in the rollers. And you don't have water puking down below the impression cylinder and making a mess. Definitely worth the money. I did not retrofit Head #2 as I don't use it that much and didn't want to spend the extra money, but it works well with the Kompac unit when running 2 colors at once. Hope this helps. Regards Major

Hi Rajesh, this machine is still in use and is not for sale. New, it ran $26,000, but Hamada is out of business. There may be other brands that are similar to this press. It will run up to 11x17. Thanks for the reply!
