Guys. Let me tell you. I have a 1.5 yr old Labrador who is slightly timid and pulls a lot despite trying every training on this planet. I came across this on Amazon and thought to myself, why not? Trust me, it worked like a miracle. I did introduce the collar to him with treats but had the lead attached to the head band from the get go and it worked like a dream! Absolute lifesaver and it was like walking a different dog tbh!

Our Miniature Schnauzer was a dreadful puller on the lead. She hated the head collar on the first short 5 minute walk. On the second 10 minute walk she easier to control. 3rd 30 minute walk she forgot she had it on and was a totally different dog! Amazing result

@@onionsoneverything8333 The point of the video is to provide instructions on how to put it on and use it. The success of this head collar is really dependent on the dog's owner using it properly. It's not a miracle device that makes your dog's reactivity disappear once you put it on, either. Reactive dogs can take a long time to change behavior. In some cases, it's not possible at all.

I adopted a pittie mix a couple of days ago who thought my chickens looked very interesting and is very strong in the neck. I bought this halti and yesterday just put it on with treats and today she was healing beautifully with the chickens free in the garden There are dogs who are more physically sensitive but they shouln't need a headcollar anyway. My one criticism is that the box should have more explanation that owners should start slowly with treats and gentle movements to make this a pleasant experience for the dog and not an easy fix. All the training tools can become abuse in ignorant hands. Edit.. We moved on to a correctly used and fitted prong collar. The halti was fine for initial learning to behave around other animals in the garden but she hated it on walks. The problem with a halti is it is in a very sensitive place and the dog can't not feel it when it is behaving perfectly whereas a prong correctly used can be turned off by the dog not putting pressure on the lead. My dog gets excited when she sees the prong coming out and began to hate walks with the halti. Some dogs are less sensitive to it but she voted against. The main thing is different dogs have different needs and whatever tool you use learn how to use it correctly.

These are legitimate concerns yet the company has not addressed them in the comments. 1. The collar ends up over the dogs eye and the lead connection around the side of its head. (I've seen videos like this) 2. Won't this choke the dog (like a collar) when it pulls if it is around the neck?

Using treats is not teaching your animal anything - it just teaches them to look for food and make accessible to taking Bates and picking up garbage as they’re walking it also teaches him to mooch and be a pest if there are any people around them with food - this is a puppy behavior, and it keeps your dog, as a permanent juvenile, never taking responsibility for itself, and it interferes with the animal using its own IQ- there is no replacement for being gentle and calming your animal and petting it and praising it - no decent animal train that uses food as a bribe - that kind of training never lasts
