I'm freaking out this song is so good and you nailed it

The entirety of the first verse is literally "You were red, and you liked me cuz I was blue. Then you touched me and suddenly I was a lilac sky, then you decided purple just wasn't for you" in another words and I think this is so beautiful. I love all the little callbacks to previous albums, being them intentional or not, just because it shows a progression of the person, the artist and the art. Best album yet, and I'm a whore for the 3 before this one.

The opening of this song makes me want a new Nine inch Nails album so badly omg.....nice work Trent and Atticus the album production sounds amazing, Halsey has never sounded better.

The reason it doesnt sound "mainstream" is because Trent Reznor has been perfecting the industrial sound since the 90s! This album is an amazing collaboration between Halsey, TR and AR, and if y'all enjoy it you should check out some tracks from With Teeth, Hesitation Marks, or Year Zero by NIN! Much Love yall, and enjoy the album ❤️

No olvides a los dos genios que elevaron ese sonido; Trent Reznor y Atticus Ross. Jamás había escuchado a Halsey pero al saber que Nine Inch Nails estaba detrás de su disco, le dí una oportunidad y que excelente cantante. Deberías escuchar Nine Inch Nails para apreciar más la dirección artística.

My personal fav song on the album, shows that Halsey is more than just a good pop singer and that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are capable of more than ambient and industrial. Reminds me of The Slip which I always considered one of Trent's more underrated works and that sound works really well with Halsey's writing and voice. This is a supreme collab!

This song hit HARD and POWERFUL just like watching NIN walk on stage and open with Somewhat Damaged live in Vegas 2018. Damn, I have mad respect for Halsey and love her work. Thank you for working with the two best collaborators to make this MEGA album. You fucking ROCK Halsey, Thank you!

I’ve waited so patiently for this new album. Just so happened to be the day after my birthday. 💜 It's been such a rough journey the last several years and Halsey’s music has gotten me through some of the darkest times. It's like she knew exactly what I was going through. My son knows her music so well that when he heard me listening to it, without him even knowing it was her, he asked is that Halsey?! 💜🌸 I will forever have respect for her and her masterpieces.
