This event was originally planned for the game’s first anniversary, however due to the bumpy launch in China it was brought forward to save the day, and thanks to the well-written plot and beautiful soundtrack it gave the game enough momentum to push onward. To this day I still think NARWHAL is the best soundtrack in the entire game.

@@MinhLe19303 The devs gave out 50k (correction: 10K) in black card instead of 5k (correction: 1K), then they tried to rollback server data, but it messed up many accounts' characters, and someone still got the extra cards. Later they tried to apologize but used the wrong words and angered a lot of people. So it was quite a bumpy start, now I think they have learned their lesson, and the game is doing pretty good.

The track and the title belong to rosetta since there is a hidden knowledge behind the name ROSETTA and the track's title NARWHAL, simply they have connection. Alpha is just like a background character in the track.

I had downloaded it more than a month ago. I'd heard good things about it, but I never actually opened the app up until today when I heard this song.

Alpha actually has a lot of respect for Rosetta. Because Rosetta went against Alpha with zero chance of winning from the begining but fought to the last. Rosetta showed 100% motivation and Alpha approved.

Rosetta is a fucking MVP in this world's story, which is enough reason to get this ost as her theme: - She, and her Forest Guards comrades were treated as "sinners"[Which is equivalent to treating Mutants like trash if you know about X-Men] - Humans HATED the Forest Guards, and Rosetta is the supreme leader of this group - Rosetta beared being treated as a monster, and yet she protected mankind - She almost become the "Magneto" with Alpha convincing her to become a ascendant,and a enemy of mankind and gray ravens organization, being infected with the Punishing virus - She SURPRASSED the Punishing Virus inside her just by willpower. - She became the sworn rival of Alpha [Funny enough, Gray Raven's Lucia seems to be great friends with Rosetta, despite her comtempt against Alpha which is the OG Lucia] - She turns from a insanely powerful boss to becoming a insanely powerful playable physical character, and a member of the Gray Raven. It takes 3 years in-game to her finally have a real rival for Physical Team [unreleased yet, Hanying rank S] - She has one of the best endings in Extra-Stories for the game [Firn Night] - She has still a good comedy sense, due to her misfortune/bad luck. - She is voiced by fucking Street Fighter's Cammy White japanese voice [Miyuki Sawashiro] People thinks on Alpha as the most recognizable character for this game, but Rosetta is so far one of the most well written characters in this style of games. I could speak volumes about my love for trance, especially uplifting trance. Living with severe DPDR, and at the top of that MCTD is a suffering in itself, but I always found trance to alleviate it. Not meds helped me feel as cozy as trance. Narwhal is not only one of the first trance tracks that got me out of anhedonia for a few minutes, but the first track tha made me shed tears. True masterpiece.

I never had that until recently. It happened to me with this and Noctis Apocalypsis from Final Fantasy XV, maybe worth a listen if it eases you. Don't know why in my case though.

PGR has quality bangers like this. Wuthering Waves has a wet fart of a soundtrack, ironic considering the theme of that game is sound/vibrations.

Narwhal. Out of every song I've listen my whole life, this is one of the few songs where I really get the full experience listening from start to finish. From the slow start, the Trance, the vocals, that intense build up leading to the best drop I've ever heard. Thank you Vanguard Sound Studio, Thank you Haloweak.

I dont really think they were going for the same as this song no, this one has an epiphany/awakening part towards the end where sound gets clearer and dubstep is there. On Genshin the song tries to be more intimidating of the creatures and beings we've never encountered before, coming from another side of the sea of the universe and how weak you can be compared to them.

@@MidnightStriked different genres of music while the genshin narwhale theme tells a story and sets the theme that this creature is so alien to the world that its mere existence damages the world while the pgr theme is more focused on the battle

@@abdollahelghadoui5701 NieR Automata's "Possessed by a disease" tells the same thing of something otherworldly and executes it in a much better way by giving that feeling of something alien/not of this world and still delivers that feeling in every way better than Genshin's narwhal could.

I'm a global PGR player. Frozen Darkness is ending right now and tomorrow it will be replaced with Fallen Star. Overall, this was a great event, I'm finally have a team with all 6* equipments. I'm gonna miss this song. Amazing masterpiece. 👍

@@alextsukishima7666 I love it. Just finished "The Surviving Lucem" and ...damn it tears the heart strings... What I can tell for sure is that the game is super F2P friendly. Once you clear early story stages that might be a bit boring (prior to "Fake Ascension"), the story just keeps on getting better and better. Cursed Waves story turned this game from "Sad, Heroic, Emotional" to "Holly sh1t this is a horror game now?!" And yeah, Rosetta and Selena are THE Best girls

3:21 is all what we're waiting for

This ost singlehandedly introduced me to pgr and I'm glad it did.
