It would be cool to see more modifications of this caliber (IE Total Conversion mods) show up in the next few decades. It'd be like Half-Life's modding scene all over again

Dark atmosphere reminds me of my Halo: CE aesthetic fever dreams. Good memories... but I'd hate to have one again.

That’s pretty cool. I hope at some point we’ll see a mod that puts a bunch of Killzone content into Halo. I’ll definitely check out this mod. I like how Resistance sounds/assets have been used in this mod. Too bad Sony has abandoned so many of their old IPs. Let’s hope with the explosive success of their games on PC they’ll ramp up production of ports. I’ve wanted to play their “Halo Killers” for a while (we all know the true Halo Killer was itself under 343😂).

Now I need to boot up RPCS3 and play Resistance again. That was an amazing shooter with a great story. 2 was super good too.

Props to the author for every little detail put in this mod all the way down to the pickups and pickup sounds.

Modded halo to give a 1950's feel and just made Resistance.

so this is the universe the eagle core came from. would love to see a sequel where you play as an eagle spartan.

This found its proper audience. Both amazing games.

Halo + Resistance + some elements of Area 51 (2005)? I got to play this sucker at night and also the guy who made this mod as well as you, great gentleman, deserve a huge glass of the best cold beer for showing me this beast of a mod.

The Resistance games were not easy games to play. For me Easy is roughly between Normal and Heroic for Halo. From the looks of it, the mod maker got this right.

Waiting for the day the Halo Engine sees it's equivalent to Cry of Fear for GoldSource. This seems to be a significant step in that direction.

The fact that this guy even went through the effort to put the crashed VTOL's in is great

I love Resistance and Halo im glad it isnt just the flood your fighting but the Chimera as well

I wish resistance wqs given modern attention, resistance 1 and 2 could be remade, and resistance 3 would just need graphical update for modern systems

I like it when fans can mix different elements from various IPs. Man, I would like someone to bring the Killzone weaponry, enemies, and environments to the PC; I can only imagine the possibilities for dedicated fans of those videogames! I like this one, but I cannot deny that I crave for more iconic FPSs from the console wars to land on PC :)

Even if they have early access to the covenant technology they are still pretty screwed taking into consideration the fact that it took a long while to create their own energy shields.

Those models at 8:38 are from the Resistance 2's 8 player co-op mode. It made me so happy to see my boys in action again.

Funny enough, the Eaglestrike armor from Halo Infinite basically says that is how the timeline/fracture is. Steampunk and WW1 against the Covenant at Earth.

It's been a while since I've played a Resistance game but yeah it sounds right to me too.

I really like how you are pacing your video. It's similar to something I wanted to try.

Full conversions like this are pretty sweet. I'll check it out myself then get back to this video

After playing this mod I can confirm it’s a lot of fun, but it DEFINITELY has its issues. For one there’s WAY TOO MANY NPCs running around to the point where it starts lagging the game. The shotgun should be found more than just once in the facility (in my play through I was only able to find one, and after you reach a certain point you can’t get it back if you’ve left it in a previous room). Power weapons like the flame thrower and the mini gun should be used more frequently since they’re fun. The blue Slugman variant armed with the Bullseye 2 should appear more because it would give the player more ammo for that gun. Drinols should have a health boost and be used more. There was too much fog and a lot of the areas in the facility look too similar. The sniper should be found in a few more locations, but you should have to look for it. Other than those issues it was a blast to play and I HIGHLY suggest everyone who watches the video play it. It just has some drawbacks that prevent it from being better. I hope the modder makes a part 2 electric boogaloo.

Slugmen with yellow armor represent the normal Hybrids and Elite Hybrids are represented with blue armor Slugmen. The modder should’ve made it so the Bullseye tracks like a Needler/Plasma Pistole overcharge because you can’t really get crazy Resistance alt fires working in Halo. I really hope that more is done with this concept. It would be pretty crazy to see a full campaign that builds on this.

You missed the context. It has nothing to do with chimera. Roswell NM is known for strange stories, UFOs and the like. It was just a simple reference. Nothing to do with Resistance.

Weapons are just lifted from resistance

Resistance has such a good universe and feel behind it, it's too bad the devs couldn't find their footing and stumbled with two sequels. The multiplayer in the first was solid, they muddled it with 2 and then fixed it somewhat with 3. But the story got worse with each new game. Still, it was unique and few have ever emulated something like it since.

It's a Bullseye, the Bullseye changed looks in every game but the one in 2 is very distinct especially when next to the others.

So... did the Flood learn time travel? Pretty sure humanity would have been wiped out if they appeared in earth in the 50s

You didn't like Resistance Retribution? Sure it was PSP exclusive but it was great! Shame we never got a proper follow up to Resistance 2 though.
